List of Sang Y. Won's Reviews
Selected Dr. W as my primary when I moved to the west side. He's great. Tells it like it is and will make aggressive treatment plans when necessary. He's challenges you to make the decision to change your lifestyle before taking medication (stop eating donuts and exercise to get your diabetes undercontrol). What else would you want in a doctor. I know what I need to do as a diabetic, Dr just gives me that extra slap of reality. Staff is excellent too. Video appointments are a bonus.
I scheduled an office visit with Dr Sang Won on Thursday, 9/15/2022. I came in with real concern about the level of glucose in my blood (i.e. 254 non fasting) that I got from my recent biometric test at work. I discussed that with Dr. Won and did not see any sign of urgency from him. He acted as if this is normal and ordered another blood test with the additional AC1 panel. At the end of the office visit, dr Won was saying something along the line that he needs to schedule a follow up apt to discuss. At the time, I was not sure why he needs that. I went along and get the blood test and want to see if if dr. Won start me on the treatment plan after the test results came back. The blood test came back on Friday noon time, and my AC1 level was extremely high (i.e. 8.9) which indicates that I am at "unmanaged diabetes" level. The test results should be enough for him to start me on a treatment plan, but instead he want to see me again in 2 weeks to discuss in another office visit. Not sure for what? and what is it there that needs to discussed? Other than the fact that he wants to charge me a second office visit..... Dr. Won lacks one of the most important quality of a good physician, care of his patient, should be the most important priority. He makes me wait for 2 weeks and want me to see him again before he start any treatment plan. The AC1 and glucose levels are extremely high, any time delay on starting on the treatment plan introduces risk to my health. Dr Won practice and his poor judgement does not qualify him as a physician. I would not recommend dr. Won to anyone.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
