Doctor Aguilar is an intelligent and empathetic provider. I really enjoy seeing her and am glad to be in her care, she's the first doctor I've seen since I fell ill that actually listens to me and provides insightful feedback :)

A family member of mine recently saw Laura was discussing the topic of their weight with her. Laura approached the topic with absolutely no sensitivity, and spoke in a demeaning tone. She then told them that they should weight xxx pounds (a completely unreasonable weight for someone their age and height). When they responded in shock “really, xxx???” Laura respond, “well something like that, it was just off the top of my head”. She then gave them the least specific and most unhelpful, advice that was “just eat healthier” after they had already explained they were putting lots of effort into a clean diet. The way my family member felt after leaving that office was the way no person should ever feel because of how their doctor spoke to them. The way Laura spoke to them was the exact language that can trigger an eating disorder. Not did Laura weight shame my family member, but in addition provided no medical help or advice.
