Jedediah Kaufman's Online Review Report Card

Doctor Jedediah Kaufman performed a Whipple on me in 2009 at Swedish Hospital. He was very caring and willing to explain the difficult procedure in terms that I could understand. He sat by my bedside as if he had all the time in the world. I highly recommend him. After all, I am still here!

Dr Kaufman performed emergency surgery on me after I arrived through the St. Peters ER. I arrived to the ER in severe pain, and walked out of the hospital three days later sore but healing. He impressed me, not only because he was an excellent surgeon, but he really cared about what was happening to me throughout my stay. He didn't take extra risks, even had another doctor perform a procedure the next day that he felt was better suited for the job. He continued to follow me through both surgeries and really cared about my overall health, not just his handiwork. I feel so lucky to have received his care and would recommend him to anyone.

appendix burst in 2 places. and a hernia WOW...Hands down the BEST ...not just Surgeon but a awesome individual....The Hospital needs more just like him. I wish he did spine Surgery. Amazing surgeon and person....thank you for all your help

Dr. Kaufman is straightforward, caring, trustworthy, and makes sure you understand and are comfortable with everything. My life has completely changed after my weight loss. He gave me the tool I needed to finally succeed in my weight loss efforts, to the tune of 300+ lbs lost. When I was struggling to lose weight halfway through, he suggested options if I had stalled out. It was a motivator. He gives me the credit for working my butt off, but I feel like he helped save my life. I am grateful.

Dr. Kaufman is not only skilled at the actual practice of surgery, but has a great personality to boot. His care is apparent, his descriptions are concise, he's thorough in making sure that his patients understand exactly what to anticipate, and he makes patients feel relaxed by having good presence and a sense of humor. He allows you to ask questions at any point, going out of his way to ensure a lower level of anxiety prior to procedures.

Before selecting Dr. Kaufman as my surgeon, I did a lot of research—he came highly recommended. So glad I made that choice & was given the opportunity to have him as my doctor. I drive 200 miles round trip each appt just to have such excellent care. He is simply amazing, his surgical skill outstanding — from his bedside manner to his “to the point analysis”, his quit wit & humor, a brilliant surgeon & always had my best interest in mind. My first experience with Dr. Kaufman was an emergency surgery and he literally saved my life. Three years later I discovered that he was doing bariatric surgery, and I was fortunate to have him perform my VSG. Not only is Dr. Kaufman an excellent surgeon, he also genuinely cares about his patients, which seems to be exceedingly rare these days! He saved my life, then he played a huge role in getting me to a place where I could actually live it! I couldn’t recommend him more highly!
