List of MIchael Mccord's Reviews
My son shared his experiences with Dr. McChord and today I experienced it for myself. My son spent the night at the ER and already had an appointment for today that he decided to keep because of the long wait. I had a question after the appointment because my son needed a refill so he would not spend the next few days vomiting. Dr would not discuss it without a follow up visit... Apparently he insists on 1 topic per visit. Sent his poor nurse to deliver the bad news instead of having the decency and empathy to come talk in person as I asked. So apparently my son is supposed to go back to vomiting constantly so that he can end up dehydrated & back in the ER. Confirmed all the stories I had heard from my son. This guy is not qualified to stock shelves (no offense to shelf stockers)
I have been going to Dr McCord for a few years and do believe the negative reviews they probably are all true he speaks very condescending to you as a patient and does not take your complaints seriously.I recently had a serious injury and he made me wait over a month before he would refer me for a MRI, when the MRI came back as a serious injury and I was finally referred to a specialist, the specialist asked why it took so long to see him for surgery. It is ok for him in his practice to make you wait for 5 or 10 minutes for your appointment but if you are 3 minutes late he will cancel you no matter the reason even if it is the screeners fault checking you in I didn’t change physician sooner just because it’s hard to start over again with a new primary care Dr but this last situation made me realize it’s time for me to make a change.
Dr. McCord is the worst Doctor that I have ever seen. He cannot explain treatment options. It is his way or the highway. He wants to dictate medical care. I will never choose another Doctor who was trained by the military.
I have had many doctors over the years and Dr. McCord is the best. He takes the time to listen to your concerns and really cares about his patients.
This guy don't care about nobody but himself. Save your money for a doctor who cares about you!
Stay away from this Dr. Like others have said, him and his staff will not return yours calls. After the 1st visit, I called 4 days in a row to try to let him the the meds he gave had zero effect on the pain. Finally some one tracked his nurse down, who then argued with me that my phone didn't work, the said they had the wrong number, that's funny as I left my number in all 4 calls. The very next week tried for 6 days to get in touch with him or the nurse, no luck. Finally called the folks that run the place, they called another Dr. In the office who proscribed the correct meds. Now trying again to contact him to see about my MRI, it's been a days o far...
I have never written a review before about anyone, however, I would not wish what’s happening to me on anybody. I have VERY severe nerve pain, a 9 out of 10 can’t stand for more than 5 minutes at a time. Prescription didn’t work so tried his office back. After 4 days of calling I had one of the other folks their track someone down who tells me she tried to call me but could not get through. Find out they wrote down the wrong numbers. If they would have listened to my 4 message my number was left on all of them. They get me something else which again has zero effect, I have been calling and leaving messages for the last 6 days with zero response and I’m still waiting while I cannot even walk for 2 minutes. While I was there says I have to go the PT for a month before I can get an MRI, oh, but have to wait a month until they can take me! This guy does not give …. About his patients! This sound like something from a 3rd world country, I pay 1k a month for insurance and I get this?! Do NOT go to these people!
Doc not interested in your well being, two weeks I've waited for a referral, and for doc to contact insurance regarding medication I need
Unfriendly, rude and unhelpful
It wasn't a visit, it was merely a question on their portal. Outright pathetic answer and downright degrading...........never again will I see him!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
