Dr. Simpson was recommended by my Primary Care Physician, Dr Fosback because of a life-long heart murmur issue. For the past several years, Dr. Simpson has followed this issue and last fall suggested it would be a good time to correct the problem, which I agreed. In January. 2018, at Dr. Simpson's recommendation, I had my Aortic valve replaced at Providence Medical Center, in Spokane. The surgery went very well and at this time I have had a full recovery. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Simpson.

I have been dealing with a number of medical issues over the past decade. During this time, I've worked with many, many doctors. Dr. Simpson has been one of the best, and I feel lucky to have him as my primary care provider. He takes the time to listen and explain, has never forced any decision on me, and I especially appreciate that he is more data-driven than most doctors I've encountered. If you live on the Palouse, I highly recommend giving Dr. Simpson a try.

Dr. Simpson is impatient, arrogant, and loses his temper easily, especially when the patient asks questions about alternatives to his recommended treatment or getting a second opinion. He decides what condition he thinks you have, sometimes even when blood tests suggest otherwise. His examinations are cursory and inattentive, and he rarely if ever communicates what he is finding as he goes along. He tends to say you are just fine when soon thereafter you find you are not fine at all. He also shares his opinions about patients freely with staff and others, so don't expect confidentiality. Check other review sources (other than this one) and you will find similar comments and very low ratings for Dr. Simpson.
