List of Stephanie M Fosback's Reviews
My experience was negative with this doctor. She insulted me three times and prescribed a dangerous drug which she insisted on by telling me my reluctance meant I was "non compliant". Which I was not. I took the drug about 3 days, ended up in Bad Shape. Had to stop taking it. Then she refused to see me to let me explain because she was offended with me that I had stopped the medication. She had also insulted me a few times in that first appointment. I was about 35 years older than her. I felt strongly her disrespect for me
I saw her several times. She insulted me. She wanted to prescribe a drug I had been advised would be bad for me. She would not listen to explanation. She misinterpreted by right hesitation as my being "noncompliant". I finally agreed to try it. Within several days I was in a terrible state and it was dangerous for me. I did stop taking the drug after about 3 days. When she got to know of this fact she officially dropped me as a patient because I had stopped the medication but would not allow me to have an appointment to explain and refused to speak to me on the phone. I found her to be unreasonable, arrogant and insulting. It was quite difficult and hurtful.
Dr. Fosback is, hands down, the best medical provider I have ever experienced. She truly cares about her patients, and makes every effort to connect with them personally throughout the care she provides. Her bedside manner is caring, warm, and authentic, all while being incredibly efficient with your time. The Palouse Medical office is very busy, so do expect a slightly longer waiting time, but it's well worth the wait. Dr. Fosback provides very detailed and up-to-date knowledge, and will research specific issues with which she may not be familiar. She believes strongly in education for the medical providers of tomorrow, and she is dedicated to making the medical field a more engaged and more informed industry with everything she does. Dr. Fosback has an excellent nursing staff as well, and I always feel "well taken care of" when I leave my appointments with her. I really appreciate Dr. Fosback's ability to creatively problem solve with the medical issues that I may present, and find the solution that will work best for my personal circumstances. I would recommend Dr. Fosback to anyone who is looking for a skilled internist as their primary care doctor.
I feel that Palouse Medical has become focused on number of patients, rather than on listening and helping patients. I was left a phone message that further testing was necessary without explanation on a Friday night (right after my MRI for a tumor). I did not receive the message until I returned home from my MRI. Not in time to call back. I called doctor on call and was treated so rudely when I asked for help for my anxiety that it was horrendous. It was certainly in poor medical practice to call someone on a Friday night that more tests are required when the Dr. knows anxiety is an issue and the individual has just had an MRI for a tumor. I now sit here....devastated.
I have been her patient since she joined Palouse Medical (2009). I very much appreciate the approach that patient and physician are partners in healthcare. I needed an expert physician in managing many co-morbid conditions - and she is the best I have ever had. Referrals are appropriate and timely, and when the case gets complicated, she is on top of it. I have honored Dr. Fosback twice with the Guardian Angel Award, and her RN Cheryl Swain has also received this recognition from me for outstanding care. I have never before had such a good fit. I like seeing the medical students and am always willing to let them be a part of my visit. She is an amazing human, a skilled and humble physician--she is not afraid to fight the good fight on behalf of her patients.
Absolutely the most caring and professional primary care physician I have ever had. She even follows up with personal phone conversations (not from the nurse). The health care system needs more like Dr. F!
I've been seeing her for almost 4 years. She listens to me, gives me options, and empowers me. She really cares, and I love seeing her. She's has a decent wait to schedule with her, but it's worth it for me!
Dr. Fosback is the best doctor I've ever had. She listens. She cares. She presents options--and the plusses and negatives of them--and then listens to what avenue of treatment accords with her patients' wishes. Both my 90-year old parent and I have her as our physician, and we have never left an appointment without exclaiming how fortunate we feel to have her as our primary care physician. I also very much appreciate that she is actively involved in teaching new medical students. Further recommendation has been that even the cardiac specialists my parent sees in Spokane have said, upon hearing that she is our primary physician, that she is an outstanding physician and that we are in the best of hands.
First of all this web site has the wrong picture of this doctor so I am not sure how actuate anything is on this web site. Doctor Stephanie Fosback at Pullman Regional Hospital is one of the best physicians I have ever had. She was kind, caring, thoughtful, thourogh and knowledgeable with great bedside manners. I was a nurse for forty years and was very impressed with her treatment of my medical conditions.
I had back pain the whole time I went to her. Complained, asked about MRI, etc. Kept tell me it was sciatica . It turns out I have a cyst crushing a nerve. So much pain, for so long, for nothing. She is very nice person.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
