She takes no time to speak with her patients, does not like or welcome questions. Her staff look like they are afraid of her. She cranks through patients unlike I have ever seen a Dr. do. She must be making big money. Don't care for her style and definitely do not recommend her.
Having read about Dr. Fu's qualifications and her expertise, I expected something far better than the dismissive, arrogant, unhelpful experience I had with her. As my own advocate for healthcare, she failed every turn.
I had read her CV, understood she was supposed to be a brilliant doctor and surgeon. While this may be true, given her arrogance, unwillingness to discuss even a single question related to care, her dismissive attitude (did not even introduce herself), her brief (under 5 minutes) and impersonal time with me, her referral for procedures never explained, and her repetition of eye scans taken within the Cascade system two days prior, the entire visit was nothing short of insulting and unproductive.

I have seen Dr Fu for many years now. She goes Beyond excellent. I had damage done to my eyes. she has helped me through this with her immense knowledge and kindness she always has walked me through this nightmare. I will forever be grateful for her talents her heart and her expertise. Thank you Dr. Fu
Dr. Fu ignored my input when I told her something catastrophic happened in my left eye after she had previously looked at it a week or so prior. As a result of her arrogance and poor bed-side manner, the retina of my left eye came completely off, when, had she simply used the machine to examine my eye, my vision could have been restored. As it is now, the image created by my left eye is displaced vertically and is rotated. She reattached the retina in the wrong place. It is worse than being totally blind in my left eye. I asked her if she could cut the optic nerve and relieve me of the torture but she declined. She is smart but too full of herself to be an effective doctor.
Dr. Fu has been treating both of my parents for a decade now. She takes a personal interest in the well-being of her patients. She kept both of my parents seeing and living indepently. When my mom lost her ability to read small print, Dr. Fu took the time to investigate the types of vision aids that would help her. Our family is indebted to her professionalism and kindness. During the pandemic, her team and her didn't shut down but took extra care to change how things were done. We felt very safe through the visits. My parents live in a care facility and both of them rather go through the two week quarantine than missing an appointment with Dr. Fu. She is that important to them.
Dr. Fu is very busy but I can see why. I suddenly lost my vision in my left eye on a Sunday night. I called our local eye clinic the next morning and was put in touch with her team. Her staff told me not to eat or drink and said they would get back to me soon. Within in the hour, Dr. Fu called me herself! After talking to me for a few minutes, she asked me to come in that day. She told me her schedule is booked full and I might have to wait a little but she will squeeze me in. She told me to bring a driver in case we need to have emergent surgery. After she looked at my retina, she told me that my retina is detached but not affecting the most important part yet. And if we do the surgery that night, she can help me keep almost all of my vision. My husband and I decided to proceed. We were so impressed when she said the surgery center has already been notified that this might be the case. All we had to do was to go there and she would see us in a few of hours. Dr. Fu operated on me after her full day of work. Today, I have all of my vision in my left eye because of her! I can't thank her enough.
Love everything about Dr. Fu. Very professional, caring and the office has stringent protocols set in place for patient & staff safety (especially during Covid-19.) Thorough & caring. I highly recommend her and her associates for your eyecare needs.
write public negative reviews, but this was an appointment that was handled poorly from beginning to end, along with two call backs regarding the poor patient care. I had my follow up appt with Dr. Fu, I had a vitreous detachment a couple years ago and I follow up with Dr. Fu a couple times a year. I was scheduled for a routine follow up appt and I had an eye concern to talk about at this appt, I checked in 10 minutes prior to my appt time and waited with a packed waiting room which is not unusual, but this particular day my wait time was well over 2 and a half hours, I finally was called back into a room, my wait time in there was much quicker, Dr. Fu walked in 5 minutes later. Dr. Fu started her exam, conversation was very limited, I did share a new concern I had with my right eye, she was finished with the eye exam and quickly said, "everything looks good, see you in a year" I asked about the concern I am having with my right eye, she said, "I have no idea, see you in a year" as her

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
