Katherine Brewer's Online Review Report Card

Dr Brewer is an amazing doctor, she listens and is absolutely good with kids. I has a few concerns about the asthma medication my child was taking and Dr. Brewer listened to me so carefully without interrupting me, consulting me, giving us options, just great in general. Her nurses are wonderful, very good with their little patients. So glad we were referred here.

Best Doctor we have ever been to. She cured my daughter's horrible eczema. We love her and thank her from the bottom of our hearts for her attentiveness and graciousness.

Went to take my kids in for a followup vaccine. Dr Brewer was not friendly with the kids at all, and immediately pinned my son's legs to the side of the exam table and told me to grab his arms and pull him back to give him his vaccine. He would have been fine if she had been warm & just given him his shot in a calm environment, but she had me restrain him without even checking to see if he was calm about getting a shot. He freaked out of course, which in turn freaked out my daughter who was waiting to get a shot. Both kids were crying and terrified at the end, and their previous shot at a different location went smooth, the kids got their shots without as much as a wince. It was a terrible experience and there is a good and a bad way to give kids shots (esp when they were calm and prepared for a shot in the first place). Would not recommend seeing her for vaccinations.

Katerine Brewer is a good doctor, however she doesn't seem to have time to schedule follow up appointments, or even care to make sure the treatments she provided worked for you. I saw here just 5days ago because my asthma was exaserbated/flairing up, was having difficulty breathing, the machine they use to blow out candles is waste of money, it showed Is was breathing fine when I really wasn't. Luckily she listened to chest the old school way and discovered I was wheezing really badly. Originaly I had asked to just keep 1 low dose refill of predisone on my account in the even I have a flair up, because it usually takes like 2-3 months to get in for another one. She agreed but then told me i should take it now because that wheezing was concerning (i didnt even bother bringing up the waste of money ill be charged for the worthless birthday cake blowout test) . While I was on the predisone my breathing got better I had productive coughs forming but when I stopped taking the last one my asthma got worse. I called DR Brewers office and spoke with advice nurse. She was very nice, I told her my symptoms were getting better while on the mediciation but then when I stopped they started to regress. Maybe just a few more days of predisone and would be all good. The on call nurse noted everything I said, say my follow up appoints for 3 MONTHS LATTER and said ok make sure to tell the other nurse that when she calls back. Needless to say I finally got a call back, around 4:30pm my time. The lady was rude rude rude. She says to me well its doctors recommendation that you go to urgent care. I said what??? why would I go see another doctor for the same problem my doctor just saw me for 5 days ago. Good question sir, but that what the doctor said, if you do not like you do not have to go to urgent care. I said a mam, the other doctor is going to ask me why I just didn't follow up with my doctor this makes no sense. Yes sir I understand but again if you don't like you don't have to do it. Could I please just schedule follow up with my doctor, who I have already seen for this same problem just a few days back, I would feel more comfortable then having to start over with a new one??? No sir there are no appointments, but there had to be more appointments but she didn't even check she just wanted to be rude and get me off the phone. She got mad at me the instant I asked her a follow up question. As much as I like Dr Brewer if she is cannot schedule followups appointments or see medical issues thru fruition and she keeps staff like that I will be finding a new doctor. I don't like having to see the same doctor for the same problem a week apart. She just saw me and I feel as if she pass me off. Be warned

Dr. Brewer sees me and my entire family and has been nothing but courteous and professional. She truly empathizes with her patients of all ages.
