I first read about Dr. Lee in the NW Hospital newsletter, he had newly arrived and there was an introductory  article about him.  I was impressed with his bio, and his special interest in diabetes.  I was ready to change doctor, one that was closer to where I lived, so I called for my first appointment.  That was several years ago, and I have been totally satisfied with my care even since!  He has a caring manner, is willing to answer any questions I have regarding regarding my health issues, and is very thorough and well informed.He doesn't hesitate to refer me to a specialist if needed, and I have been totally happy with the specialists he has referred me to.  He monitors and follows up with any lab work, treatments or new prescriptions I am taking.  He strongly believes in preventative care and continually keeps me informed about  things I can do to improve my health.  He pays close attention to any changes in my health and changes treatments when needed.His staff is friendly and helpful and they go out of their way to make me feel comfortable during my office visits and when calling to schedule appointments.  I feel confident in the care I am receiving and don't hesitate to bring up any issues that impact my health.  I would strongly recommend him  to anyone looking for a top notch physician.Nancy Dorey

I have been seeing Dr. Lee for a long time and found him to be a wonderful, caring, intelligent and knowledgeable physician who I trust with my life which has issues that have been a challenge for me. I am diabetic with hypertension and sleep apnea, have arthritis and had terrible pain issues that were making me a drug addict unable to get enough sleep. Dr Lee has kept my diabetes and hypertension under control by trying different meds and letting me participate in those decisions. His referral to other doctors has also been impeccable when he referred me to Dr. Daniel Lazar for neck surgery which I was *very* apprehensive about. In my case it was miracle results that made me the poster child for this treatment. I no longer take any pain pills, sleep well and no longer need to wear a wrist brace to work or when I sleep.When I became suddenly ill Dr Lee made room in his schedule to see me the same day which was great since I had a nasty infection giving me a high fever. He and his staff have been very accommodating and very friendly, polite and professional.I totally trust Dr Lee and feel he genuinely cares about me and my health. He keeps things moving but I never feel like he ends my visit if I still have something to talk to him about. His medical assistants/nurses are great, too.I highly recommend him. I just hope he does not become so popular it will take longer and longer to schedule an appointment with him because I am sure that will happen eventually as people discover him.

I first went to Dr. Lee after researching primary care physicians in the Seattle area who specialize in Weight Loss and Hypercholesterolemia. Since I have been seeing Dr. Lee, he has helped me lose 30+ pounds and significantly lower my cholesterol. He helps me lose the weight the right ways, slowly and surely, so I will be able to keep it off for good! Dr. Lee is very patient and easy to talk to. He is very informative and helps educate me through open and honest conversations. He keeps me accountable, which is important and helpful when it comes to losing weight. I truly feel Dr. Lee has helped me to live a longer and healthier life!

Dr. Lee is a wonderful doctor! I always enjoy myself when I go and see him! I feel like I can talk to him candidly and that if I ask for it, he'll tell me like it is! I am never afraid to ask him any of my questions and I know he will answer it. Dr. Lee always has take-home information about whatever I need help with. Dr. Lee has helped me and my husband immensely since we first started seeing him. I highly recommend Dr. Lee if you want a knowledgeable and personable doctor to help you improve your health!

Dr. Lee has been my primary care physician for 15 years.  I first went to him when I lived in Boston for general check-ups.  When you're in your mid to late 20s, you don't think very much about a long-term relationship with a doctor.  When I moved to Seattle, finding a new doctor was way more difficult than I expected and I quickly realized that a good relationship with a primary care physician was crucial as you go from your late 20s to early 40s.   I couldn't believe it when I found out that Dr. Mike was moving to Seattle!  Having peace of mind and a plan for my health is more important than ever to me since I need to live a long, happy, and healthy life for me and my family.  I've recommended Dr. Mike to many friends and family members.  His approach to health and diet, attention to detail, listening to my concerns, and genuine care of his patients is hard to give a Yelp rating to, but he truly deserves my 5 star rating.

***ASK the right questions! HOW IS THIS BEING CODED?I made an appointment for my man friend at this office for a full body check out. He's looking pretty good as far as I can see, bright eyes, shiny hair, strong nail beds...but I quite like my man friend.  So I wanted to make sure he looks just as crackin' on the inside track.  Now, I'm a bit picky about my man-handlers, so I had to do a little research and see what's what. I was looking for a dude. Someone with a legit education, no third-tier medical schools here. Someone who doesn't have a blog with a bunch of typo's. Not a lot to ask.  Dr. Michael Lee checked out on all fronts.  His photo, he seems like a nice guy. Okay, time to make that appointment. The Dr. Lee entourage tells me that my man friend is going to have to come in for a "pre" appointment to get to know the doc. THEN he can come in and get a physical. What? Uhm, okay. What is he doing at the appointment? Like a speed date? Why? Entourage lady says, "So the patients can get to know the doctor." Okay, well is there a chance he's not going to take the patient after that? This is pressure! Don't the patients get to know the doc as time goes on? During working appointments?  E.L. "well no. It's just so the patient feels more comfortable." Can we skip that part? Believe me, I don't need to get to know the doc. I'm good. We don't have a lot of idle time.  We aren't retired.  E.L. "No, its required for all patients." Well okay, this sounds costly. How is that billed, or what does that mean for my co-pay? E.L. "Well, it's usually taken out of your deductible. So most likely you'd have to pay out of pocket for the visit." Como say WHAT? Let me call my insurance company.  This is totally sketch!Insurance company confirms that the doctors office can do that. They don't know how much the charges would be, because it depends on how it is coded.  The actual physical is coded under preventative, which is covered 80%. Or if it's you, fill in the percentage. The meet-and-greet-speed-date would be an office visit. You gotta pay homie, is what I'm hearing.  Okay, I'm still willing to pay, if I at least know what I will be paying.  I call the Dr. Lee office again, and speak to one of the entourage again.  Good morning, how will this meet-and greet--get-to-know-your-doctor-shenanigan be coded? How long will it take? What kind of questions are they? Will anyone be getting naked? You get it.  Like bottom line, tell me how much this introduction is going to cost me? E.L. "Well, it depends on how it's coded." Right, I'm getting that, but what are the variables that change the coding? How much will this cost me? What if someone doesn't have insurance? E.L. " It could be anywhere from 75-300 depending on the code. We don't take anyone with no insurance." Does the doctor know these are the answers you're giving to your customers? This is completely absurd.  I can't imagine what would happen if someone was really sick. Or couldn't speak english or better yet, elderly.  Unbelievable.  Sorry, but unfortunately I won't be making that meet-and-greet pyramid scheme appointment thing tomorrow. What a racket! This should be totally against the law! I should be calling Jessie or something. Everyone needs to ask the right questions.  This is why the healthcare industry is in the broken state it is.  It's a private club and no one wants to give you the answers. The doctors have these layers of people that answer questions for them that are their mouthpieces.  So either they know what's going on, or they don't. I think it's a combo of both. It's scary and creepy! I mean, this doesn't happen at my dentists office.  Whom, BTW is another Dr. Lee. Who is AWESOME.
