List of Multicare South Hill Emergency's Reviews
Had issues with breathing- they answered all my questions, and I'll finally be able to sleep for the first time uninterrupted in a couple days! Thanks guys, yall are awesome!!!
Absolutely the best emergency care I have ever received!
This staff is horrible they act as if people aren’t here for emergency services they walk around in the clouds this is not a place to go for emergencies do not come here my granddaughter had a fever of 103.7 and harsh breathing they told me to sit and wait I waited for an hour and no one came out the people are zombies there I got up and left to save my grandchild’s life and if anything happens to her I will be filing a lawsuit against this place. This is a horrible place and should never be considered a place of emergency.
Great staff ! Last night my wife was kicked out of the lobby because of new covid policies. Today they allow a woman of color to sit in the lobby with her grandson while her adult daughter is being seen. I guess rules only apply to certain skin color!
After a 3 hour wait, a nurse told me I could wait in my car. When I tried to go outside, the receptionist took me out of the line. I wasted hours during a health emergency to not ever be seen by a doctor, when my own doctor sent me.
This is more of an urgent care when it comes to back issues… if you think you need an MRI go to Good Sam. They don’t have the capability to do MRI’s at this location. If I would have known that I wouldn’t have wasted my time and money. I was crying I was in so much pain and was put in a chair in the hallway for a long time. However; when my son injured his ankle they gave good service to him. Just a different issue. Now I have to go to my primary care to get an MRI ordered. More time and money.Sincerely,BR
The doctor and some of the nurses were so rude to me. The Dr. kept making rude comments, one of the comments she said was "I have to get to a real emergency in the next room". Is my pain not an emergency? How am I supposed to know when to go to the ER? There was no one in the waiting room when I came in, but they acted like they were so busy.
Took my 2.5 year old in on a Monday night around 8pm, waiting room had about 6 people. Partitions between some chairs, looked clean, but many of the people waiting did not have masks on, if they did it was under the chin. My toddler wore his the entire time with no complaints, I don’t see why adults can’t do the same.. security was friendly, he saw, and didn’t say anything about it, which is a bit upsetting for a parent who has to bring their vulnerable child to the ER, who cannot be vaccinated. Besides the point. Bathroom was clean, quickly seen, waited in the hall, it was busy back there, many children waiting in the hallway as well, I got the sense their covid protocols aren’t where they should be, I visited Goodsam recently for a c section and they had protocol down, maybe they should follow lead to help prevent sickness from spreading. My son was there for a fall to the head, no cat scan needed, in and out in 2.5 hours. Fellow medical worker here and just a little worried for other RNs, DOs and patients. I witnessed no hand washing in between patients, exams, and screenings like blood pressure, pulse ox, temps, from nurses and doctors. No temp checks at the door or covid screening questions. So covid patients are with non covid patients. It’s messy.
Awful experience. I have had only 5 star experiences with all other MultiCare facilities. This location simply did not model MultiCare Values during my son's visit. I understand that all of the healthcare industry is experienceing burnout and compassion fatigue but the utter disregard to posted hospital policy and the complete lack of empathy and professionalism was so disappointing.
Went in for extremely high blood pressure which continued to get higher while there. They did nothing but send me home and tell me to call my Cardiologist the next day. Then received a huge bill in the mail for that. Filed a complaint and all they did was defend themselves and the large bill they determined I still owe. I will NEVER go to another MultiCare again.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
