Neal Shonnard's Online Review Report Card

So glad I was referred to Dr Shonnard. Not only is he very easy to talk to and takes time with you but very importantly, he listens. He explains the problem in understandable terms and offers solutions. He was very open to having my daughter join the appointment via phone and was happy to answer her questions. He did kyphoplasty on my fractured vertebrae on two separate occasions greatly relieving my pain. In addition to his knowledge and skill he has a very helpful and friendly staff. Pleased to have him as my doctor.

The Dr. took his time in explaining my issues as well as what directions I could take in the future. I never felt rushed. I'm pleased with the result.

Very friendly and personable. Just as I had been told from my chiropractor that referred me to Dr Shonnard. He made sure I understood my choices and situation A lot of Dr s rush thru your visit but I felt I got all the time I needed

He is very down to earth and easy to talk to. I felt very comfortable with him and tried to answer all his questions. Some things from years ago, I don't remember.

Dr. Shonnard did a microdiscectomy and laminectomy at two levels in my lumbar spine. Over several years my condition (lower back pain with radiating numbness and weakness down the back of both legs into my feet) had gotten progressively worse. Lesser approaches including PT, steroids, and ESI shots did not resolve the problem. So surgery was my only option. I was anxious, but also hopeful that the surgery would help or resolve the problems. It has now been a week since my surgery, and I'm steadily getting better and my back pain is minimal. I have no numbness or weakness in my legs, and I'm able to walk much easier. Throughout the process Dr. Shonnard was caring and supportive, explaining all my options. He understood my concerns, and answered all my questions about them. He is an extremely knowledgeable and empathetic physician, who did an excellent job with my situation. I'm impressed with him - and he has helped me quite a bit. I recommend him highly.

Dr. Shonnard has a pleasant way of communicating his solution to a problem. He tells you what the problem is and how it can be remedied in layman's language so that a patient can understand what he is talking about.

It's not often that a doctors visit I easily compared to visiting a friend. The care level is personal and never leaves questions unanswered. Fortunate to have met doctors with this type of bed side manners. Thank you Neil for your caliber of care you provide for my family.
