List of Westcare Medical Clinic's Reviews
Went to see Dr Burke for pain management as I'm overdue for a knee replacement. Dr Burke was not prepared for me as a new patient and had not requested my X-rays or files. I sat in a room for over an hour before finally poking my head out to ask if the Dr would see me. I'm pretty sure they forgot about me. I'm living in constant extreme pain unable to sleep at night. After 8 days since my appointment I reached out and was told he is denying care for pain management. My X-rays are proof of my pain. Dr Burke looked scattered and a bit like a mad scientist. Not impressed. I was referred to you by my PCP. I didn't walk in off the street! I've been in tears everyday from the extreme pain waiting for treatment that wasn't coming. Not even a phone call to let me know. Horrible Dr, horrible clinic!! I'm not sure how severe someones pain has to be to get treatment here. Don't waste your time and find another pain management clinic!! Awful! Thanks for leaving me in severe pain Dr Burke. Maybe you should get into a different field for care. Being referred back to my PCP who is unable to prescribe medication that will help doesn't help me. Zero stars if I could
Adam Burkey runs this office and he is the most ignorant and rude person I've ever had to deal with and if you question about your treatment or decides he doesn't like you he will boot you out of treatment and put on your medical records you're drug seeking just to be a prick I would highly recommend saying away from this clinic and his other clinic he was under a different name in Renton
I had an appointment with a doctor drove from kitsap county and the doctor did not help me nor did he wait for my medical records. And just dropped me as a patient. I am so frustrated. They didn't even bother calling me worst place ever
If i could give 0 stars I would, I would give negative stars if possible. This clinic doesn't keep communication and will drop patients without warning them before hand and yet still schedule appointments and make patients with postoperative degeneration in the spine drive 2.5 hours just to turn them away and deny any treatment whatsoever. Will actively lie to both patient and patient's physician, potentially forcing said patient to go into the ER through medical neglect. STAY AWAY from this clinic at all costs.
Dr Burkey is a weirdo and clearly hates his job , you can tell he’s just over it and doesint want to do his job anymore , he was soooo rude and dismissive! The lady who is the receptionist was so sweet and kind so I got a good vibe at first but as soon as Dr weirdo walked in the vibe definitely changes , there’s a reason why all these reviews are horrible! Stay away from this place
Kept trying to up my dose. Lobby was full of junkies, was super scary. When I went in for my last appointment they treated me really bad because I didn't want to keep raising my dose and keep coming in to see the doctor over and over. They said they were going to send my refill to pharmacy and call me to schedule my next appointment but I never heard back. I tried getting answers 6 times over the phone and was told they would take care of it and that they would call me back. They never did. I finally found out they discharged me as a patient without notice. DO NOT GO HERE!
I went there in aug. They decided to do a drug test but I couldn't pee. They can canceled my appt and would not make another one. I finally got them to make another and they told me they weren't going to cuz that's why I couldnt pee cuz I knew it was a drug test. No, I couldn't pee cuz my bladders the size of a walnut. Dr chang said he was gonna make an appt with a back Dr. I never got a call with the info so I called them. Finally got in for back specialist. Went back to Dr Chang. Asked if a got to the neurologist. No didn't know I was supposed to. I told them call me as soon as you get the appt made. It's been 3 weeks and no call. I just called them. They said it looks like someone was supposed to make an appt with the neurologist, but no one has done it yet. He was gonna call the person that should have called, and call me back. I told him that was unacceptable. He said thanks and hung up. I have no idea whether or not he is making the call. This is the absolute worse group of medical professionals I have ever been referred to. Oh, and Dr Chang lowered my pain medication with no info on me at all. And I've been on it for 14 years. Don't go to these people if you don't have to!!
I rarely leave reviews, but I feel compelled to share our experience to help others make informed decisions. This was one of the most distressing medical visits I’ve ever arranged for my mother, who suffers from short-term memory loss following a stroke. We arrived 30 minutes early, as instructed, but the doctor did not appear until about 90 minutes past the scheduled appointment time. Before any consultation took place, my mother in her opinion was treated with suspicion, as though she were seeking medication inappropriately. This was deeply upsetting to her given her medical history. The nurse we spoke with was kind and professional. She explained that the clinic’s policy prohibits anyone from accompanying patients into the exam room. I shared my mother’s cognitive challenges, and she offered to ask the doctor about making an exception. I also suggested that, if I couldn’t be present, perhaps my mother could record the conversation to help her remember important details. Doctor Burkey declined both requests. In my view, a medical office that refuses reasonable accommodations, such as caregiver presence or recording for memory support, raises serious concerns about transparency and patient care. I encourage others to read the one-star reviews carefully. Our experience was deeply disappointing.
I was referred here by my PCP for chronic pain from multiple failed total joint replacement surgeries and a recent surgery which caused nerve damage. The front staff and medical assistant were nice and professional. When it came to the Dr (if you can call him that) dr Burkey came into the room with both eyes completely bloodshot (pink eye, stoned, drunk ? Maybe all 3) seemed annoyed when I was trying to give him my medical history, symptoms and recent surgeries, ER visits etc.. After about 3 minutes he was done talking and asked me to sign a release form for an upcoming neurologist appointment. I was told I would receive a call for a follow up appointment in a couple of days. Well a week later and still no call so I contacted their call center only to be told that dr Burkey discharged me the day after my 1st visit because his office tried to request my records from my neurologist that I told them I was scheduled to see the following week.. long story short.. read the reviews and avoid this place or at least dr Burkey at all costs.. it’s no wonder his previous places of employment got rid of him or got shut down.
I came to Westcare Clinic as a pain management patient over 4 years ago and was placed under the care of a truly wonderful human being Dr. Correa. He unfortunately left July 2024. I was then transferred to Dr. Lin and ultimately Dr. Shang. After the absolutely horrible experience of meeting Dr.Lin who I now refuse to see. I am subjected monthly to a Dr. Shin.Unfortunately, my experience was deeply disappointing and, ultimately, harmful. At my first visit, Dr. Shang did not ask any meaningful questions about the quality of my pain or its impact on my daily life—despite this being a pain management appointment. I have a documented history of chronic pancreatitusand 3 herniatedand fused vertebrae in my back., which has affected my eating drinking and mobility. During my second visit, I shared the documents of my emergency room visits due to increased pain..since they have changed a regiment the encompassed this so I would stay out of the hospital since the only treatment for the chronic pancreatic pain is hydrating and more pain medication. to help communicate the impact of my pain and clarify my needs. Dr. Shang appeared visibly irritated by my effort to participate in my own care. He also didn't take the time to look at ay report even the MRI report. When I asked why..his tone became sharp and confrontational. Throughout the appointment, I was met with frustration and resistance for simply asking questions about medications and treatment options. My intent was to be an informed, collaborative patient—not to challenge authority. Yet I felt belittled and dismissed. On my final appointment, because I was talked to rudely by staff and Dr. I chose to record all contact. The Dr refused to see me and released me from the practice siting i was unruly and disruptive. I contacted the administration of Westcare Clinic and advised of the issue with no response.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
