List of Alex D. Cooper's Reviews
Dr Cooper listened carefully and asked many thoughtful questions. I felt he did a very thorough and empathic exam. I would highly recommend him as a provider
Excellent doctor - listens and cares about the patient.
Dr. Cooper was attentive and respectful, listening and asking about an array of symptoms I described that, to me, were all relevant. If ever we both started to speak at the same time, he stopped and asked me to continue. He discussed and explained everything thoroughly, ordered relevant tests and a prescription.
Pretty good and sympathetic doctor. Does a good job of explaining things
i was referred to alex unfortunately due to a history of concussions. he chalked up symptoms to a mood disorder and told me he couldn't help me. even though i did my best to explain to him my mental health was being addressed, he still felt the need to put it in medical notes that i should be referred back to psychiatry and that i am unwell and he is afraid i will continue to have declining health if i do not do what he says. i tried to update him on my progress but he was uninterested in these simple follow-ups. fast forward 18 months, the guy was dead wrong, and now i have to answer to his absurd medical notes every time i see a new doctor. avoid this guy and his gigantic ego entirely.
Dr. Cooper is a phenomenal neurologist who is knowledgable, sensitive, and direct. I have JME and he is intimately familiar with the condition and has helped me keep it under control for years. Cannot recommend him enough.
Cooper diagnosed my husband's Alzheimer's disease six years ago. He repeated the word 'ALZHEIMER'S' at least ten times in a loud voice, to emphasize the point, I guess. He directed all his comments at my husband as if I wasn't there. After about 7 or 8 'ALZHEIMER'S' I broke into tears. He turned stiffly towards me and asked in a blank tone 'what was the matter?' HUH?? I didn't know what to say, ...
Dr Cooper helped us after hours in the situation of my 90yo father needing emergency prescriptions. Dr. Cooper was immediately responsive, helpful and professional.
I have seen Dr. Cooper over 3 visits now, and he always treats me with really thorough care. I can tell he has thoughtfully considered my case and I believe he has the book smarts to know all the possibilities of what could be causing my illness and he is up to date on the treatment options. I have a disease that cannot be cured, but it can be managed and I've been getting great care from Dr. Cooper
Dr. Cooper was not my main neurologist, but when I was unable to get an EMG for debilitating neurological symptoms in a reasonable amount of time his office at the Polyclinic was able to fit me in. Not only was the visit convenient, but Dr. Cooper approached the whole appointment with deliberation, understanding, and care. Before the end of the visit he answered all of my questions and patiently explained my results. Fantastic provider.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
