I was mixed up (by 15 minutes) about the time of my appointment but the staff was very gracious, saying "Come along. We'll still accommodate you." That set the tone for the whole visit. Dr. Carmen B. was kind and knowledgeable and did not rush me at all. This was so unlike my previous visits at my last dermatologists office where I was strictly limited to 15 minutes including intake! The office itself was immaculately clean and beautifully decorated, but that pales when compared to the kind bedside manner and in depth knowledge of my new (and now forever) dermatologist!
Attractive office design, very nice staff, care by Dr. Berger excellent. She has a very reassuring manner, is efficient and delightful. Her care is top-notch!
I had a great experience at Arboretum Dermatology. The office space is very nice and clean. The front desk team was very kind and there was little to no wait time before my appointment. The PA, Rebecca, was very friendly and knowledgeable and was able to address all my skin concerns. The RN, Amanda, was very friendly and knowledgeable as well and made me feel very comfortable during my appointment. I highly recommend this office!
Great staff and care. My questions are always answered and I’ve always been treated with dignity and respect.
I have been going to Dr. Berger for many years now. Not only is her bedside manner delightful and pleasant, but her depth of knowledge is astounding. With her keen eye for any possible harmful skin condition, she has stopped and stopped many 'attempts' from cancer to try to get a foothold on my body. Also, the staff is incredibly kind, well-spoken and helpful. I also use her for my Botox treatment ;) and love the results. I highly recommend Arboretum Dermatology to anyone!
I asked them, via email, if they took my insurance and provided my insurance card. They responded asking for me to have my doc fax a referral. I did that. They called me to book an appointment. I asked them on the phone to confirm they took my insurance. They informed me that they do not. They could have saved me, my doctor, and themselves time and effort by answering my initial question when I asked.
Ive been going to this office for a handful of years and overall their providers are great. However, one of my largest complaints is their schedule and lack of avalibility. I understand that they are a busy place and they have their set hours. I myself work in a medical office and completely understand a doctor schedule. But when a patient has active issues (infection or reaction) I feel like their should be some kind of accomodation to get them seen in a timely manner--- not in 4-6 weeks or be told to go to urgent care (who will just refer out to derm anyways--its a waste of time when someone needs help). Overall, great practice. But if you need to be seen for an urgent issue you will be waiting for a month for an appointment-- even as an existing patient.
Highly recommend Arboretum for cosmetic and dermatology services! Amazing staff!
went here after reading great reviews in the past about dr berger. had consult and follow up with PA rebecca patton, who i think i thought was a dr at the time. yes the office is clean and white. but the front desk people stuck up and condescending. the PA is very much in a rush your whole appointment. not very thorough, does not like to be questioned, and anything "additional," is another fee or another appointment. the overall impressions is they are definitely out for your money. bummer since dr berger sounded like a great dermatologist.
Came in as a first time patient for a consultation, I wanted help to create a skin plan for my cystic acne. Rebecca Patton came in extremely rushed and spoke so fast I had to ask her to please repeat herself which she did not appreciate. Very cold, and unwelcoming experience. In contrast, the nurse was very sweet and took extra time to make sure I understood the recommendations after the doctor left. Would not recommend
I was hoping for a great experience with this office based on the reviews here. Unfortunately, I’ve had two interactions that have motivated me to leave a one-star rating. I have had one appointment at this office. Overall, it was pleasant. The staff were helpful and it is very clean and welcoming. I saw Rebecca Patton for my appointment. I was only with her for somewhere between five and ten minutes. I felt rushed to express my skin concerns before she left as she didn’t ask me many questions to get to the bottom of my reasons for being there and I got the sense that she was trying to keep our appointment brief. She quickly prescribed a medication, but didn’t go into detail about any of the possible complications, so I asked a few questions to clarify the risk. I assumed that maybe she was just having a busy day and wrote it off as such. Today I called because I woke up with a skin reaction, presumably to the medication I’d been prescribed by Rebecca. I called around 10 am and was transferred to a medical assistant who told me they would call me back and asked me to email in some pictures of the reaction. I sent the email and waited. Since the office closes at 4 pm, I called again at 3:30 pm and left a message asking to get a call back. I received a call from the front desk staff about ten minutes later confirming that I would receive a call shortly. I never did. I ended up having to contact my primary care provider to try to understand what was going on. Although the staff is very friendly, this was clearly a significant oversight if a patient is communicating a possible allergic reaction to a potent medication and they never receive a call back. Concerning to say the least. Update: I was called by Rebecca directly after leaving this review in an effort to provide more personal care, but it felt like damage control and came off as insincere. I never returned to this office and instead found a great derm in first hill.
The space is brand new, and very clean. The staff were efficient and the PA (Rebecca) was great. I was in and out quickly and had all my needs addressed. Would highly recommend.
I've had 4 appointments, never saw the dr., only Rebecca. She gave me a prescription for 3 tubes of ointment, while 1 w refill would have been more appropriate, since i only needed a part of 1. What a waste!
I do not leave reviews often, but I feel compelled to share what an amazing experience I had at Arboretum Dermatology. Their amazing administrative team was able to get me an appointment on short notice given the severity of my issue. Their office is modern and clean, and all of their staff are very kind and welcoming. I saw Rebecca Patton who was excellent. She listened to my experience and asked questions. She created a care plan for me and I felt so much better following the appointment based on that interaction alone. I cannot recommend this place enough.
I love the aesthetic and Cosmetic Dermatology services at Dr. Berger's office. She's a very caring provider and cares about giving you great results. Highly recommend her to all my friends and family.
Dr. Berger is awesome and knows her stuff. I've been seeing her for at least 10 years.
Very professional environment. Availability is great. They honestly saved with Doctor's diagnosis and recovery. So thankful for them!
i'd avoid this place if you're trans and looking for laser hair removal
I went here in the fall of 2020 to get a mole looked at that was starting to change rapidly (bleeding/crusting). Rebecca did a full body skin check that felt very brief, maybe a couple of minutes long (ie, not super thorough- usually they should be 10-20 minutes long according to google). She looked at the mole and didn't recommend getting a biopsy, but said we could if I wanted to. I wanted to.When the biopsy results came back, the doctor who looked at them had some concerns and recommended a full excision. I'm glad I went with my gut and got the biopsy. Rebecca did the excision. It was a huge cut, way bigger than I was expecting, but she assured me that it would not leave a scar.Well, it's been more than a year and this is the scar she left behind. My husband is a surgeon and confirms that this is "fine" but not what he would expect from a posh dermatologists office. He actually thought for a moment that I'd gotten it done in NM (where we live) because we have almost no dermatologists here so there's no competition.Just my experience, but not a great one! Would have been better if they'd just been honest about whether there would be a scar.
They are so kind, professional and great! I am so glad I found this place! Dr. Rebecca and nurse assistant Chelsea made me feel so welcomed and at ease! I will definitely be back:-)
