Charles A Peterson's Online Review Report Card

I started having discomfort in my right knee a couple of years ago and contacted Orthopedic Specialists of Seattle. I made a cold call to their practice and got an appointment with a Dr Charles Peterson. I've had MORE than my fair share of experiences with Orthopedic Surgeons (3 major surgeries and multiple scopes on my left knee) so when I say this surgeon was special, I feel like I can speak from experience! I've been under the care of many knowledgeable and skilled surgeons but Dr Peterson really stood out. During my initial consult and in my subsequent appointments, I found his interpersonal skills so reassuring and calming. He's very authentic! Receiving a diagnosis that my knee was basically worn down was not fun but somehow Dr Peterson made me feel ... encouraged. A knee replacement is certainly in my future but on my terms and timing. Like any due diligence, I'll seek a second opinion but I know when the time comes, Dr Peterson would be my ortho of choice!

Dr. Peterson was my doctor for an ACL tear and associated surgery. He was extremely friendly and kind, explained everything in a clear and understandable way, super professional, and really supportive to get me back to the activities I enjoy...with a healthy dose of reality of what the PT would entail afterward. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Peterson to anyone who needed an orthopedic doctor.

Dr Peterson is kind and respectful. Unfortunately after a first meniscus surgery, I developed another tear 4 years later. That in itself is not the issue. The issue is that when the pain started he ordered and MRI. The MRI report was incorrect and missed the presence of a new tear. The Dr never looked at the images himself. He just went by what the report said. After 6 months of pain and a desperate consult with a surgeon in ANOTHER COUNTRY, that told me there WAS indeed a tear, I was then able to see another surgeon that operated again and removed the tear. How much pain, money and time did I lose because Dr Peterson didn’t look at the MRI in the first place? And who will compensate for that?

The whole process of my knee replacement from start to finish was absolute professionalism! The surgery process at Swedish Ballard was a wonderful experience and to date My knee is at full functionality. Dr.Petersen is the most experienced knee replacement surgeon you could hope for, caring and personable through the whole process! Swedish Ballard surgery team was absolutely the most experienced and competent inpatient medical team I could of ever hoped for!

In my appointments with Dr. Peterson he has always been positive, patient with my questions, and specific in his comments and responsive to my concerns.

I had been seeing Dr. Peterson about my arthritic hip, and recently had a hip replacement. Dr. Peterson listens well, is attentive, gave me great advice, and did a wonderful job on my hip. I was not over or under-medicated and felt very good after the surgery. The healing went well and everything happened as Dr. Peterson explained. I feel very lucky to have found him and Orthopedic Surgeons of Seattle.

Dr. Peterson did a full knee replacement for me, everything went beautifully with the surgery. In a few more months I plan to have him do my other knee. He is an excellent surgeon as well as an extremely personable and caring man. He will listen, answer all your questions, and take his time.

I am very grateful to Dr Peterson for the excellent care he and his team provided for my total right knee replacement. He is very patient - a great listener and thoroughly answers questions. He explained everything that was going to happen in the surgery, putting me at ease for the operation. He and his team are wonderful - competent, caring, and professional.. I was set up with a Novocain drip in the leg for 5 days afterwards, which relieved a lot of potential pain, virtually no use of use of narcotics, and gave me a great head start on recovery. I highly recommend him for the best surgical skills; my new knee is amazing and has already changed my life only 5 weeks after surgery.

Consultation and knee replacement surgery. Two months ago. Very little pain and much increased ease of motion.

Dr. Peterson is a wonderful and very professional surgeon. His surgical technique is excellent, He has always addressed my concerns, and has provided me with the information I have needed. Dr. Peterson replaced my right knee on Feb. 7, 2022. The surgery went very well, I left the Surgeon Center the same day. the incision is not large, not very painful after surgery, and the recovery was very fast. I have been unable to ride a bicycle for more than 5 years before the surgery, and now I can ride a bicycle again. I highly recommend him and his great team. Thanks so much, Dr. Peterson!!!
