Christopher Chan's Online Review Report Card

I've seen Dr. Chan a few times now and he is extremely dismissive and standoffish. He doesn't listen to your issues and doesn't seem to care. I would not recommend him and would never see him again.

Great experience. I have complicated issues and Dr. Chan dealt with them or referred them properly to other specialists. Depending on time and day, patient traffic dictates speed and quality of care. No complaints.

What a horrible provider this man is, had concerns over certain things, expressed how I was feeling and being frustrated. Asking about Monkey-pox vaccine. No answer, completely disregarded. Then I send a follow-up message after they gave me info, let them know that hopefully allocation could get better. Absolutely flabbergasted at the immaturity this child has. I don't recommend anyone going to this man.

Wrong diagnosis, but I got a second opinion before starting medication that could have caused unnecessary trouble. Not particularly apologetic about his mistake. Also doesn't explain things in detail.

Months ago I went to Dr. Chan to get a referral for a specialist so that I could inquire about my Dyslexia. After telling him a few of my symptoms he immediately told me I don’t have Dyslexia, and that it is Adhd. He then prescribed me Adderall. I was thrown off by his abrupt diagnosis, so I decided to stop taking Adderall after the first couple of days. After this I decided I needed better answers, so I sought help from a therapist, who was actually able to confirm my conditions as ADHD and PTSD. She confirmed that medical leave might be a good option to consider as well. I went back to Dr. Chan to follow up and inquire about medical leave, adderall, and proceeding with getting more help. I experienced what others have already expressed. Dr. Chan was completely unwilling to listen, to help me understand his points of view, and was immediately hostile towards me for asking about medical leave. He expressed that he has a ‘personal preference’ against people who don’t want to work, and that he ‘doesn’t help people NOT work.’ His refusal to help me understand my situation and his hostility towards me was so intense that it triggered another PTSD-related panic attack. Avoid this person at all costs. Listen to the negative reviews and save yourself.

We've been his patient for nearly 5 years now and he's been amazing. He's communicative and doesn't talk down to us. He doesn't jump to prescribed medicines when they're not necessary (unlike many doctors I've had the misfortune of seeing) and goes out of his way to work with us. It took nearly a decade of horrible experiences with other doctors to find him. Now I hope to keep him as our family doctor for the rest of his career, even if it means following him to a different group.

Dr Chan helped me get started on PrEP. He was helpful until I started asking him about things besides STI testing after seeing him for a few months. I had really bad inflammation issues and I had to see him three times and went to the hospital before he stopped telling me to take Ibuprofen and echinacea and actually referred me to a specialist. The appointments were easy to set up and I could usually see him within a few days of scheduling, but I always felt like he was rushing through it. I also felt like he was just reading my chart and not listening to what I was actually telling him. He also would get me mixed up with other patients, sometimes asking me questions about medications I wasn’t prescribed. He would often forget to update the dosages of my medications and would duplicate prescriptions that messed stuff up at my pharmacy. He was quick to reply to MyChart messages but his responses were short and incomplete. Sometimes ignoring half of what I was asking.

Dr chan is very hard to deal with and ignores messages. Would never recommend him to anyone. He is standoffish and took forever to get me help or medication. He has an attitude that he doesn't care
