List of Christopher Hein's Reviews
11 months ago Christopher Hein MD performed a trapeziectomy surgery on my hand due to arthritis. It was a terrible experience. Following the surgery I had severe nerve pain for 5 months. Dr. Hein engaged in gaslighting behavior, essentially telling me my pain was insignificant and mostly a function of the medications I was taking, which was not the case. I finally switched to a competent hand surgeon at another practice. Nevertheless, my hand is in constant discomfort and I can't do anything using my hand without pain. I may have to have another surgery to correct whatever went wrong during the first surgery.
Terrible experience. I have had a total shoulder replacement, complicated jaw surgery and abdominal surgeries. This was the worst medical experience. Communication was terrible. The outcome is not what I was told it would be. Still in pain 8 months after surgery.
Great bed side manner and very happy with his quick solution to my problem.
Dr. Hein performed wrist arthroplasty to treat osteoarthritis. I would not recommend people go to him for this procedure. The communication before and after was very poor. I was not given realistic information about what to expect and my concerns were not addressed adequately. Dr. Hein told me I shouldn't have been experiencing as much pain as I was, so that in addition to being in pain, I felt scared that something very wrong was happening. I finally sought a second opinion from Seattle Hand Surgery and have been much happier since receiving my follow up care there.
I've seen Dr. Hein for several issues, and one surgery, and I always see a caring doctor that listens and gives me the time needed at full attention. He's a really good guy and a really fine doctor...
Immensely grateful for his help, humor, and expertise in dealing with my complicated care. He's quick, efficient, patient, transparent, and competent. Really hope I don't have to see him again, but really glad he's there if I do.
Dr. Hein has been fantastic. I moved from Arizona to Seattle after having had three procedures on my right wrist and still being in pain. Dr. Hein was able to diagnosis the cause of the pain I was still having after the last surgery. He's been compassionate and listens. He's kept my chronic condition in mind during treatment so we can address the issues in my rests as they progress/occur. He takes great care of his patients before, during, and after treatment/surgery.
Dr. Hein is incredible. I had a very severe injury to my hand and I am so thankful to have had a doctor that was very knowledgeable, caring and a great listener. He has an amazing bed side manner and his team of nurses are fantastic. He even called me personally one week post-op to check in and talk about some things. I would definitely recommend Dr. Hein to anyone who has had a hand injury.
Direct, candid and caring doctor. Highly skilled and great listener. Highly recommend.
Dr. Hein was my surgeon when I broke my wrist (intra-articular distal radius fracture) and needed to have a plate/screws installed. Dr. Hein was very helpful with my questions before and after the surgery. 3 months after the surgery, I rarely notice that I broke my wrist in daily activities and have high hopes of recovering 100% (except for a scar of course). I'm incredibly happy with the results and glad to have my hand/wrist back in working order.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
