I was a patient of Dr. Whal in 2011-12 when he was at the university of Washington. He gave me osteotemy surgery and 10 years later it's still holding up! He is wonderful genuine human being. And deep down from the bottom of my heart, I just want to say thank you!

I'll definitely recommend Dr. Chris Wahl based on our excellent experience with him for my wife's ACL surgery. My wife broke her ACL during skiing in Jan., and after multiple comparison, we selected Dr. Wahl for the surgery. She had the surgery by 5/3/2019 and today is 6/3/2019, my wife can walk almost 90% as normal and can go upstairs/downstairs without holding handrail. It's really amazing! Originally we were very struggle on this surgery since we saw tons of videos online about how painful people experienced of the recovery, but finally we decided to take the risk and do the surgery. I would say it's really worth to do the surgery instead of worry about the knees all the time. We entered OPA by 3pm at 5/3 and get prepared, Dr. Wahl come and did a quick brief with us on how the surgery will going, he's obviously just end previous surgery and it's been a whole day for him to work but he still seems to be full of energy. Then by ~4pm my wife entered the surgery room, after 2 hours I saw her, she's weak due to anesthesia but she feels very good, she said she just fall into sleep then it feels only 5 min after she wake up and the surgery is done. In later days when we revisit Dr. Wahl we saw the surgery video, it's only ~20 min in total, how efficient is him!! After I talked with nurse and got all the medicine, we went home, she took lots of sleep in 5/4 to rest. By 5/5, it's just 2 days after surgery, she's able to walk for 5 yard outside of our house with crutch! I was so excited about the result. By 5/7, it's the time we re-visit Dr. Wahl, my wife already can walk very long from parking slot to the building with crutch and feels very good, we even did dinner together outside to celebrate the great result! Oh, I almost forgot, Suzanne, Dr. Wahl's wife & PA, is really nice and full of knowledge! She helped my wife to take out the bandage, and spend almost 2 hours with us to went through the whole surgery process and explain tons of details on PT and recover, we do appreciate her explain on everything to guide our future recover process. Then, it's 5/8, day 5 after surgery, my wife can bend her leg to 90' degrees without huge pain! By 5/15, day 12 after surgery, she tried to walk without crutch and she made 10 yards! Really awesome! After that I don't have much things to write, it's just getting better and better, until today which is just one month and she's like 90% a normal person! I would say thank you so much Dr. Wahl and Suzanne! Thank you for your great experience and amazing skills which made the surgery super successful! Thank you!

If you are on the fence about which surgeon to go with, then your search should end here. Honestly, as a mother of two, I just wanted an EXPERT in field that I could trust. What I found in Dr. Wahl went beyond truth, intelligence and skill. He was compassionate and kind and treated me like an elite athlete. Going into my knee surgery I felt I was in good hands and I was right. For him and his staff I am grateful.

Dr Wahl is the best doctor I have ever had. Not only does his tremendous concern for his patients come through with empathy and patience, he is excellent at communicating diagnoses and treatment options. His wife serves as his medical assistant (or physician assistant, I forget) and together they provide amazing care. Dr Wahl isnt just an amazing doctor of the people, he is one of the most gifted surgeons I've met. His skill set is far deeper than most.
Dr Wahl and his assistant Suzanne are two incredible individuals who are very skilled at the work they do. Dr. Wahl was able to quickly diagnose an issue that I have been battling with for over a year. This diagnosis was missed by multiple doctors. I entrusted Dr. Wahl with his expert opinion on what the issue was. After multiple consultations and arthroscopic surgery I am excited to say that the pain has gone away and the issue has been resolved. Thank you to Dr.W Wahl and his team, they are truly the best in the business.
Dr. Wahl did arthroscopy surgery on my shoulder with disastrous result, and later he sent me to an other surgeon to perform open surgery to repair the damage he did to my shoulder. However, I never regained full function of my shoulder.

Dr. Wahl is amazing. I had a Tri-mal fx and he was not only extremely attentive but his surgery is top drawer. There is a reason her was the ortho for the Huskies and the Chargers! I hike, cross fit and I do it all on the ankle Dr. Wahl repaired.
