List of Daniel Schwartz's Reviews
I had my right shoulder repaired after falling off a mountain. He was amazing! I have full function. He just repaired my left shoulder a week ago. I'm in pain, but I know that will improve over time. Dr. Schwartz took the time to explain everything, so I could understand the procedures. I have referred many people to him.
Dr. Schwartz and his team are amazing! I recently decided to have Dr. Schwartz operate on me to fix my torn rotator cuff. Before seeing him, I went to two other highly recommended shoulder surgeons in the Seattle area and chose Dr. Schwartz because of the techniques he explained to me and the research I did on his training. I am sure glad I did! I am 3 weeks after my surgery and my shoulder is doing great. I had no pain at all after surgery with only a couple of little, tiny incisions where he operated on me. I kept hearing the term minimally invasive in my research and that is how I would explain my surgery. Additionally, he and his team were ultra-professional, took a ton of time with me, and never made me feel rushed or talked down to me like one of the other surgeons I spoke with. If you need a good surgeon to fix your rotator cuff, I think Dr. Schwartz is the man.
My primary care doctor referred me to Dr. Schwartz to review options for the intense pain I was experiencing in my right shoulder. I immediately felt at ease with Dr. Schwartz and his assistant. Dr. Schwartz explained that physical therapy might be an effective alternative to surgery for the tear in my bicep tendon and what appeared to be a possible rotator cuff injury. He clearly left the decision to me on which course of treatment to pursue. Knowing that the bicep tear would eventually need to be repaired, I chose surgery. After surgery, Dr. Schwartz took time with my wife and me to show and clearly explain video highlights of what he had done during surgery. I have had many surgeries, but no surgeon has ever taken as much time as he did to explain, much less show, what took place during surgery. Five months later I can say that I am extremely satisfied with the results. If you are having shoulder problems, I highly recommend Dr. Schwartz!
I had a great visit with him. We reviewed my complex surgical history and multiple previous shoulder surgeries that were done elsewhere. He was awesome at explaining, and I felt at ease. For now, we are doing nothing, but we have a plan for the future should we be forced too! I enjoyed his frankness, and honesty!

I waited 7 months to leave my review because I wanted to share real perspective on the result once nearly fully recovered. I’ve spoken to many other people who have had shoulder surgeries like mine - subcromial decompression and biceps tenodesis - I’ve read many articles; most say it takes anywhere from 12 - 18 months to recover. It’s been 7 months since my surgery and I’m sleeping better than I had for 5 years prior. I have no resting pain at all. I’m back to all my normal activities and I’m slowly rebuilding my shoulder and bicep muscles. I chose Dr Schwartz after months of research and meeting with two other surgeons. He listened to me and diagnosed the additional problem with my bicep tendon that both other surgeons ignored. He took me seriously when I told him that I have severe reactions to anesthesia and brought in an amazing anesthesiologist to handle my case. Going through a surgery is never easy and I couldn’t be happier with Dr Schwartz and his team. OUTSTANDING surgeon!
Dr. Schwartz tried to convince me to get a surgery that I didn’t need. The surgery would have been costly and had a long recovery timeline with long term shoulder immobility as a possibility. I was so thankful to get a second opinion that told me the surgery was unnecessary and to do PT instead. I am happy to report my shoulder is on the road to recovery, surgery-free. I am sure Dr. Schwartz is a smart guy but be careful of what he recommends.
Simply the best
Dr. Dan fixed my torn rotator cuff, and I am so happy that I went to him. I talked with two other downtown shoulder doctors, and neither made me feel as confident as he did. Sure enough; it worked out like he said. Search no more, this is your guy. Straight shooter, no bs, great guy. Love em and his team

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
