Darcy Constans's Online Review Report Card

FYI She left her practice at the polyclinic as of March 15th. She rarely would respond to questions via email and always would ask me to come in but didn't have openings for a month so I ended up going to urgent care 3xs one year at Overlake instead. For in person visits she always had a scribe in the room so it wasn't very private and she seemed to be educating them vs me. She also often seems to focus on her agenda (like quality measures ) vs what my most pressing issue was but she was smart (as all doctors) and at least aware of the importance of looking at the whole person, but she just always seemed rushed during the rare in-office visit and there was zero followup so I often had to self-refer to speciality care.

Despite took over for our long time family medicine doctor and although she is still fairly young, I was disappointed at how poorly she listens and how she dismissed my concerns. She also is in a Fee For Service model so rarely will answer questions by email (not paid to apparently) and uses a scribe during in-office visits so they are less than intimate. The Polyclinic is large and impersonal and the lab is for the entire building so you have to wait in a room with over 20 other sick people but some of the admin staff are super considerate for us older people. ;-)

Darcy has been my primary care physician for nearly 4 years now. She is the first doctor I've had that I feel really listens to and advocates for me. She is great with mental health and an ally for reproductive rights. Thank you Darcy for being so helpful!

In and out in less than 15 min, this was a yearly physical. I expressed certain concerns or changes and no attention to any of them. Definitely felt like a waste of time and leads me to believe I need to look elsewhere for care that actually takes the time with a patient. Not everyone needs that but certainly, I and members of my family do, they had the same experience, rushed appointment with no clarity on their yearly appointment.

This review is long overdue. Dr. Constans is the best! I started going to Dr. Constans in Feb. 2018. I needed a new primary care doctor so I went to see her to establish a new doctor/patient relationship. We discussed a few issues that I thought were minor and she recommended just some overall bloodwork to get a baseline. Side note, I was 37 at the time...no huge worry for age related issues. Well Dr. Constans attention to detail, knowledge, and overall concern for her patient saved my life. She was concerned with a slight elevation on my bloodwork and looked into it deeper. Mind you, I believe I had this same elevation a year prior with my previous doctor getting bloodwork after my daughter was born. She found that it was possible that I had Leukemia. Fast forward to a trip to an oncologist/hematologist and she was correct. Caught it early and I'm in treatment with a much better response due to it being caught so early. She called personally to check on me after my official diagnosis and has always made sure I get appointments in a timely manner if something comes up. She cares, she's honest, she's knowledgeable, and she's just an overall amazing doctor. I highly recommend her.

Dr Constans took over my care when my longtime physician retired. She is kind compassionate and a really good listener. I was worried about changing physicians but she made the transition very easy for me. She is easy to talk to and I am very very happy with the level of care she provides. Her assistants are also very good. I also recommend the Polyclinic in Seattle is a stellar practice. Thank you, Dr Constans, for being so wonderful.

Dr. Constans is an amazing doctor. Her thoughtfulness, and pragmatism make her a joy to see. She is a great listener, and sees the big picture when it comes to health and offers holistic solutions. I can't speak highly enough or recommend her strongly enough.

I really trust her. She actually listens to and cares about her patients as individuals. She takes her time and makes sure you understand all of your options.

Dr. Constans got a degree in history from a small liberal arts college. Her ability to engage in a science-based conversation is virtually non-existent, thus raising a question about the depth of her preparation. It is apparent she will not deviate from the party line of AMA and CDC positions.
