I really can't recommend Dr. Farid highly enough. She's incredibly knowledgeable and takes the time to ask detailed questions and discuss options thoroughly in order to ensure that I understand her treatment plan. She goes out of her way to make me feel like a partner in my own care. I completely trust that she stays informed about the most current scientific information available, and I'm very comfortable asking her detailed questions. When Dr. Farid moved from Providence to the Polyclinic, I transferred my care in order to keep working with her. She is an excellent physician.

I am so pleased with my ENT- Dr. Fariha Farid. I have been seeing her for my chronic sinus infection and she has helped me with treatments and surgery. She is caring and she takes the time at each appointment to listen to you, explain things and have you also take part in decisions regarding your care. She looks for solutions even if it entails involving other medical professionals to help you in the best way that she can. Dr. Farid is a compassionate lady who cares about her patients. I am lucky to have her as my doctor. I highly recommend her as I know that she will always go that extra mile to ensure that her patient gets the best care possible. Thank you Dr. Farid.

I had a freak accident where I had a "Complex laceration of right ear"- basically, the skin was separated from the cartilage and created a huge flapper- Emergency room visit- with little input about which doctor to see. Fortunately, Dr. Farid was the doctor on call and I couldn't have been happier! Why? Because Dr. Farid reconstructed my ear to look like it did previously! Surgeon wizardry! People can't even tell my ear was almost ripped off! Excellent surgeon and doctor. I would recommend Dr. Farid without hesitation!

I saw Dr. Farid for a simple procedure and she immediately made me feel comfortable about seeing her for a small thing. She was pleasant, and asked several times if what she was doing was bothersome (it wasn't). I see no reason to give her anything less than full marks.

I saw Dr. Farid for impacted earwax. I was apologetic for such a minor thing but she said she enjoyed that cleaning, making me feel comfortable. She was very pleasant, asking a number of times whether I was feeling any pain. It was as good an experience as I could have asked for.

(This posting seems to be under my husband's name.) Dr. Farid is a fantastic doctor who I would recommend without hesitation. Given my medical history, I would say having a great ENT is essential to my everyday health. And I feel so fortunate to have found Dr. Farid after moving here to Seattle from the East Coast. She is very professional, yet warm and caring. Despite her very busy schedule, she seems to have time to answer questions and go into details about what she sees and recommends. She has been following me for several months for a chronic sinus infection and has tried everything within her power to help me get well. She has been thoughtful in her approach and tried everything to avoid surgery. After the last MRI, however, she contacted me and asked to speak by video chat. She had her nurse contact me and despite Dr. Farid’s very busy schedule (she’s scheduling many weeks out), she managed a video chat the same day to discuss the options. She went over the MRI in detail, showing and explaining everything she saw, and then recommended that I may wish to consider surgery. She explained the different options in detail as well as any possible side effects or unanticipated results that I could expect. She left it entirely up to me to decide, which I appreciate. Dr. Farid has always answered every message that I sent through My Chart. She also manages all facets of ENT – the ears, nose, and throat, which is wonderful (rather than having to see 3 different doctors at UW.) She is helping to manage my Meniere’s disease which has caused me to loose a great deal of hearing and can also advise of LPRD (Laryngopharyngeal Reflux Disease) which can cause me to loose my voice. She is a wonderful addition to the Polyclinic staff, where I have also found a terrific internal medicine specialist, Dr. Alison Burt.

The Polyclinic recommended I go to Dr Farid after a full year of seeing ENT doctors for a chronic ear pressure problem. Dr Farid did nothing to investigate and only offered "You have seen good doctors so I am afraid I have nothing more to do. Try taking some allergy and cortisone nasal sprays" - which she knew I had already tried. This 15 minute visit was billed $415 and was a total waste of time.

I came to Dr. Fahrid for issues with nosebleeds and I was extremely disappointed with her lack of informed consent. She stuck things up my nose without telling me what they were, she acted annoyed when I asked questions about what she was doing, and she offered to do a treatment that day without considering my personal circumstances, like dependence on riding my bike for transportation when the procedure wouldn't allow me to get my blood pressure up. I wouldn't have known that last bit if I hadn't asked for details, which, again, seemed to annoy her. I contacted her office with this feedback and never heard anything back. I don't recommend this doctor at all.
