List of Frederick Leaf's Reviews
I have been a patient of Dr. Leaf for several years. I cannot imagine anyone else treating my skin issues. If there were such a rating of 6?s, Dr. Leaf would be worthy of that too!
Dr. Leaf is consistently professional. thorough and very knowledgeable. Best dermatologist I have ever had.
Dr. Leaf spent most of my visit talking about his own problems and was unhelpful in dealing with any of my own issues. He was dismissive of treatments my PCP had mentioned and overall I certainly did not appreciate his "bedside manner" throughout the visit. I will not be returning to see him.
Dr Leaf always takes lots of time to diagnose and explain. He's a great teacher about appropriate skin care. I appreciate his friendly approach and I consider him a friend.
Dr. Leaf is a fantastic dermatologist. Knowledgeable and more than willing to answer questions. The Polyclinic gets a bad rap but I've never had an issue. Five stars from me.
Dr. Leaf spotted Stage Zero melanoma on the back of my calf. I wasn't even the patient that day. My son was in for a procedure and he noticed it. Lucky for me, I was wearing shorts allowing visibility to my calf. He sent me to a specialist to have the mole removed. I am well, but make annual treks from California (where I now live) for my check-up with Dr. Leaf. He is much more thorough than the "assembly line" dermatology practices I checked out when moving to California.
This office's appointment policies are terrible. I called with a serious issue and because I missed ONE appointment from A YEAR ago they refused to give me another appointment. MAYBE it's a problem with your patient reminder system? I cannot believe a medical practice would blacklist people for something that can just happen to people. When a patient has picked you for something they are scared about, to turn them down in such a nasty, GREEDY way is what's wrong with the world today.
On time, early morning appointments, really clear on explanations and quite friendly. Not sure why we had a much better experience with him than others but I will continue to see him for my dermatology needs as well as those of my kids.
The doctor explained everything clearly and took the needed time to cover what was necessary. We had the first appointment so there was no wait which is nice. Follow up from his staff via mychart that morning with instructions of what to do and follow up. Very happy with the care both my kids and I received. Love the fact that he has early morning appointments so I do not have to take time off work.
Dr. Leaf is an excellent dermatologist and highly knowledgable. I came to him as a second opinion from Oregon and found that he will always be my first. Excellent consultation and information to was provided to make decisions. Dr. Leaf takes the time and cares about his patients. As someone who has had to go to a lot of dermatologists over the years, I would say he is second to none. Thank you!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
