List of Gastro Health's Reviews
Be prepared to receive big bills. For one single visit they will charge you for BOTH doctor and facility. Fine service but be aware of arbitrary charges
Everyone was very nice and informative. The facilities are efficient and spotless easy parking.
The admisitrative staff that manages insurance was incredibly rude and sarcastic.
I will not go back to this gastros office mostly because of their inconsistency in answering the phone in real time amp their lack of ability to coordinatecommunicateinfluence their billing office which is apparently in FL? Lastly the fact that their FL billing office submitted a claim for an office visit to my health insurance company but didnt bill it correctly for a Covid test leaving me with a $25 copay irks me. If they had correctly billed the Covid test addendum I wouldnt be responsible for a $25 copay. Just for ref Ive already paid for hundreds of dollars in other bills for my Colonoscopy services to Gastro Health the facility and the anesthesologist but I refuse to pay for a billing error and negligence on the billing offices dept. Im still waiting to have this corrected approx 1.75 months after my first call to the billing dept. I have had to make multiple phone calls to the FL billing office amp at least 4 calls to the Fremont location asking for help with this supposed code review. During the first call in early June I called with my insurance rep on the phone amp we were told that a code review would be initiated. Even though the FL billing office said they would submit a code review seemingly helpful it seemed strange to me that the rep couldnt outright answer the question re whether a Covid test had taken place in order to let my insurance company immediately fix the billing issue while we were on the phone. My insurance rep asked for a supervisor to try to obtain the info but a supervisor wasnt available and we ended the call after being reassured a code review would happen. On 621 when I called for a status update the FL billing dept said they had NOT submitted a code review and told me they would submit it then and it would be 4 weeks. I asked for a Supervisor to make sure the code review was actually going to happen voicing my frustrations again I was told a supervisor was not available. At this point I am still waiting to hear a status but no word only a PAST DUE bill. Often the billing dept phone system states theyre CLOSED when their billing invoice lists their hours at 96 PDT. Ive called multiple times around 3 PM PDT amp their messaging says theyre CLOSED. Many hours of my life have been spent trying to deal with this codingbilling issue amp just some other basic questions answered about other bills post colonoscopy.
Ive been to Dr. for regular colonoscopies for years. I recently saw him to get a different procedure. I was suffering bad pain after the first procedure but toughed it out. Second procedure had little pain which was good because they forgot to send in my prescription and the third procedure was very painful again. When I asked for help with the pain the nurse took all day to get back to me and told me I could take OTC medication which they already told me and which I told them was not working. They then suggested I go to an urgent care clinic. I was stunned a physician would be so callous as to have a patient in pain as a result of their procedure wanting to push them off onto another doctor. Why would a specialist send someone to a GP who will probably only recommend they consult the specialist they already see? The clinic is also very inflexible if you need to get in soon because you have complications. They will put you in line to wait a couple weeks for an appointment regardless of your situation. This place is run like a machine if you get a colonoscopy but good luck getting someone to care if you have complications. Im done with this place.
Called to make an appointment but it was after 5pm so no one was answering. I sent an email. No reply. I called again the next day. The person scheduling was quite rude over the 15+ min on the phone didnt seem to know a lot of basic information where is the parking what are the phone hours also gave me wrong information. The hold music is the worstChariots of Fire in loop. I called back and tried to leave a voicemail but it just hung up after 8ish seconds. Im going to look elsewhere.
Dr Wegley was so kind informative and very helpful Willing to go the extra mile Checkin was easy as was scheduling Day of procedure checkin was quick and a breeze Nurses anesthesiologist and all assisting Dr Wegley were top notch I would recommend Dr Wegley and PSG to family and friends
Ghost town
Dr Bernstein listened to all of my concerns and reassured me he would find out exactly what was wrong. And he did I got on a treatment plan and my symptoms are gone. He was incredibly helpful and promptly answers all my questions thoroughly. He and the staff are fantastic
I was at this location for my procedure for an andoscopy. They were all very professional and treated me very well. I do recommend this place for this kind of procedures .

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
