He diagnosed my eye condition when no other doctor could. I am so grateful for Dr Heffernan's expertise.

I came in for eyelid surgery due to sagging upper lids which restricted my vision. I elected to get the lower lids as well (insurance doesn't pay for lowers.) The surgery is very serious and I was pleased to be with an opthamologist-plastic surgeon.... in fact I was referred by my cataract doctor. The surgery and recovery have gone very well and I continue to see improvement. Thanks to Dr Heffernan and his team.

I was the last appointment of the day back in April, and was scheduled for a simple outpatient procedure with consultation from Dr. Heffernan. My "consultation" was a picture off of his iPhone without any thorough physical examination of my eye, followed by a "you should suck it up or deal with it." Terrible bedside manners, and a complete lack of clinical knowledge to support his conclusion. When my opthamologist told me I had eyelid cancer and that I would need to see an eyelid surgeon immiediately, I was less shocked about having eyelid cancer that I was that such a person as an eyelid surgeon existed. Turned out I had not one, but two cancers, involving four surgeries to remove the cancers ( which had grown underneath my skin, althouogh all I could see was a little bump on my eyelid)and to reconstruct my lower eyelid and a part of my face.Dr. Tim Heffernan performed the reconstructive surgeries so magnificently that noone even notices I had any surgery, let alone four within three months' time. This surgeon is certainly as wonderfully eccentric as any genius, and that's exactly why I am so incredbly grateful to have experienced his expertise and amazing compassion. He's the best. If you want proof, I'd be happy to show you the miraculous results on my eyelid.

I felt very rushed at my appointment. It seemed as if he scolded me for coming to him for a second opinion. He asked very few questions about my situation. Over the past year, in battling cancer, I have seen dozens of doctors and he is the only one I would strongly NOT recommend.

Granted mine was not a simple case. I had facial reconstruction which has left my eye constantly red and irritated and severe double vision through at least a third of my visual plane. My new ocular plastic surgeon says it will be a great challenge to restore my eye to it's previous full function, asked for the notes from my previous surgeries and began outlining a treatment plan. Dr. Heffernan essentially told me to just deal with it.

He is horrible!!! He gave me a dilation without even asking. And he didn't tell me want he did and what should I be careful throughout the appointment!!! My eyes feel terrible and even drier after seeing him. I blame him with the dilation without any notification!!!

I met with several eye surgeons before I decided to go with Dr. Heffernan. He did an amazing job on my upper and lower eyelid surg. His staff was fantastic and I felt like I was in great hands. Dr. Hefferan has also given me two Fraxel treatments and my skin has never looked better! I have sent several of my girl friends and their husbands to him. Two thumbs up!!!

the doctor handed me a pre-printed sheet when i asked him a specific question. "this will answer your questions" then left for 10 minutes. the sheet didn't even remotely address my specific question. when he came back, and when 'pressed', the doctor gave a rather vague answer and wouldn't give specifics.
