Jennifer D. Gorman's Online Review Report Card

I have been a patient of Dr. Gorman for several years after having been frustrated with a couple eastside rheumatologists. I came to believe that maybe personality traits of this field were common. Finally, a dermatologist MD recommended Dr Gorman. I tried and it was the best decision i ever made for my RA. She is the best, courteous, understanding, and highly knowledgeable of treatments and symptoms of RA. I give her my highest rating and recommend her if you have an RA issue. You will be happy with your choice. I was and am.

Prior to my appointment with Dr Gorman I had had less than satisfactory experiences with RA docs on the Eastside. Such that I began to believe maybe the negative experiences were a kind of personality trait of of docs in the RA field. But then Dr Yang recommended her. It was a great choice and after several years I have no regrets and really appreciate Dr. Gorman’s knowledge and manner. She is the best. I highly recommend anyone with RA do a visit. You will surely agree.

Dr. Gorman is an extremely caring and pleasant physician. She’s up-to-date with RA medicines and research. She’s always eager to hear and to discuss patients’ concerns. I’ve found her and her nurses most accommodating when, on rare, occasions when a “flare” happens.

This is, in part, a review of Dr. Gorman’s office. I was scheduled for an initial appointment and made clear that I’d be traveling and wanted a virtual visit, to get to know if this doctor would be a fit for me. Unfortunately, the front desk scheduled me for a standard initial visit and there was no way to meet via telehealth or anything other than their rigid in person appointment system. There’s really no way to investigate if this doctor is going to be the right fit for you. Staff were unhelpful and uncreative. Even the office manager. For a clinic that takes 2 months to get seen for an initial visit, Dr. Gorman’s office doesn’t seem worth the hassle. Why go to all the bother of booking with her when you can’t have an efficient process to see if this doctor/patient relationship will be a fit? It’s disappointing that her clinic is so beholden to insurance billing processes that it can’t see its patients as humans with unique needs.

Dr. Gorman is a skilled clinician and seemed committed and caring. She went out of her way for me on more than one occasion. I saw her for several years. That fell apart when I got a second opinion. She immediately let me know she did not approve and continued to make remarks about it in subsequent visits. I was disappointed and very surprised. Then, I received a letter from her "terminating" my ability to see her as my doctor "for missing too many appointments". I never missed an appointment.

I have been with Dr. Gorman for the past eleven years. I love her caring manner and her thoroughness at each visit. She takes the time to listen to what I have to say and let's me have a say in my treatment. She is cautious to make dramatic changes but did honor my request to come off a medicine that was making me sick. She calls to check on me. Even though I have moved out of the area a few times, I always fly back into town to meet with her. She does have young children and makes them a priority. I agree with that but I have never had a hard time getting an appointment with her when I needed one.

I just love Dr. Gorman. Aside from being very professional, extremely knowledgeable, and an excellent listener and "investigator" of your symptoms and concerns, she is a true friend who cares about you as a person. I wish every doctor shared her level of care and wisdom.

Dr. Gorman is EXCELLENT! She really takes the time to LISTEN to you as the patient. She doesn't rush you through like some other doctors. She makes notes while you are talking and then is very good at explaining things and discussing options. She also shows a lot of care for her patients and passion for what she does. She seemingly spends a lot of time reading up on the latest treatments. I truly trust her judgement and would recommend her ANYTIME! She is a GREAT doctor and so is her team!

Dr. Gorman added me on to her busy schedule at the request of my PCP. Dr. Gorman answered all of my questions and explained her treatment plan. I feel very lucky to have fallen into her care.
