List of John Whitehead's Reviews
My mother went to see this doctor and he was incredibly rude. Didn't pay her concerns a bit of consideration until her younger adoptive daughter came in. This on top of doing a shoddy procedure on her eyes is an automatic no. It's unfortunate how often he's recommended to people.
Just finished up with the process of getting UV adjustable lenses in both eyes. Couldn't be happier. I had some severe personal scheduling issues and Dr. Whitehead went above & beyond to accommodate me. All his staff were great. He's a bit arrogant, but that's what I want in the guy cutting into my eyes. I could give a rip about bedside manner (I thought it was fine, but I see others complaining about it). I want the person who does the surgery well. It was clear he was a perfectionist, something else I want in a doctor.
Just finished up the 2-month process of UV Adjustable Lenses. I couldn't be happier. I went from essentially legally blind to 20/15 vision in both eyes. All the staff I worked with were great. I had some tight scheduling issues and Dr. Whitehead went above & beyond to accommodate me.
Clear communication about treatment options.
While I don’t believe this doc did anything egregious in terms of medical practice, his bedside manner was poor (e.g. patronizing around patient anxiety, seemingly rushing me out the door). I have had way more positive experiences with other members of the Evergreen Eye practice, and would recommend seeing a different opthomologist there.
Attentive and informative
I cant write all the things that went wrong not enough space. bottom line do NOT go to this practice they might do good work however they take advantage and charge people much more. Also the staffs manors are pretty rude among other things, please save your self allot of time and effort and look elsewear
I would highly recommend Dr. John J. Whitehead, MD at the Evergreen Eye Care center in Seattle. He is a Ophthalmologist, Glaucoma Specialist and Cataract Surgeon. As important as our eyes, I was fearful of embarking of this operation. He made my fears go away with his professional manner and detailed explanation of what was going to happen that I could understand. He hired the best staff that works great together and took good care of me. Dr. Whitehead and his assistants are all professional and a great team. Thank you Dr. Whitehead and staff. I received the new lens and am very happy with them. Don't know where I would have been if not for you.
Mary took early for an appt I had.
I had Glaucoma surgery with Dr Whitehead and this guy is truly the best in the business. Its not often I would say it was a pleasure but with Dr Whitehead he made it that way. He actually has a real personable personality and interacts with his patients like they are actual people ( imagine that! ) if anybody reading this review is on the fence in selecting an eye Doctor, this Doctor is for you he is that good.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
