Joni Ghormley's Online Review Report Card

If you are looking for someone to truly listen to your concerns with both compassion and consideration of symptoms, and then give advice based on thoughtful expertise, definitely DO NOT go to Joni Ghormley. The worst experience I have ever had, in an office I precious liked. I would never send anyone to her.

Dr Ghormley was outstanding. I met her for the first time n came away greatly impressed. She’s knowledgeable, pleasant, has a very easy manner about her. She’s one of my favorites n I’m 81 had lots of doctors

Aggressively insulting and dismissive. From the second she walked in, she was rude and condescending and basically accused me of being seen unnecessarily (if that was the case, maybe she should have had someone call me prior to the visit? or at least asked me a single question before she reached that conclusion?) It was like she was putting me on trial for wasting her time, instead of holding any curiosity about my symptoms. She also had clearly reviewed some of my chart but not all of it. It was a degrading and infuriating experience and inappropriate for someone in a position of power as a medical provider. Stay far, far away. Anyone else is a better option.

Joni gave me an incorrect diagnosis and I was given antibiotics I shouldn't have taken for a condition I didn't have. I was later diagnosed by a different doctor who corrected this. During my first visit with Joni, I event mentioned that I didn't think this was the correct diagnosis and she came back into the room and snapped at me and told me "you don't have to believe me but this is what I think". She then continued to rush me out of the room when I tried to ask some follow up questions. I absolutely would not recommend this doctor and she should be put out of practice.

I have seen Joni Ghormley for all my medical needs since 2004. She is knowledgable, helpful and efficient.

I went to this urgent care facility for a pinched nerve in my neck. The 'provider, Joni Gromley, felt it appropriate to review all of my medications with me and judge me. It wasn't about my symptoms, it now became all about her and her personal judgement of me. I would never recommend this person to anyone seeking solid appropriate medical care. It was a terrible experience.

Joni Ghormley may be a fine doctor if you have an uncomlicated case, or just need a school sports physical or some such. However, when I presented with a rather complicated list of symptoms, and the opinion that I needed to see a neurologist and a rheumatoligist based on family history and my own history, she said, and I do quote, "You're a little young to be having such problems." Additionally, she referred me out for PT to address some strength and pain issues I was having, and then refused to refer for more than the initial assessment. My relationship with her has become adversarial, when I need a doctor who's on my team. In short, I can't speak to her competence for simple medical needs, but I would not recommend her for anything remotely complicated.
