List of Joshua David Munro's Reviews
Dr. Joshua Munro was unprofessional and hostile because I wasn't ready to get the Covid-19 shot. He never addressed the issue that I came in for. I will never go back.
Dr. Josh Munro was unprofessional, irritated, and hostile to me because he was assuming that I wasn't getting my yearly pap smears and mammogram because he didn't have paperwork for it. I go to the women's center. I also hadn't had another procedure done that he was recommending. He was hostile and making comments that a professional shouldn't be making because I wasn't getting the Covid-19 shot at this time. I walked out and will never go back to his office.
Dr. Joshua Munro is unprofessional. He never addressed the problem that I came into the office with. He was extremely upset and making unprofessional comments because I wasn't ready to get the Covid-19 shot. I'll never go back to his office.
Dr. Munro is a super family doctor. He treats what he knows and is not afraid to refer you to another doctor if necessary.
He is the best family practitioner I have ever seen my kids love going to his office
I recommend him to everyone he is the greatest doctor ever
Dr. Munro has been my physician for about 20 years and more recently also for my wife. He has the legacy of being the fourth generation of Munro U of M physicians in the Jackson area. He has been recognized in a recent Cit Pat survey of the Best of the Best in the area as the current leading family physician. He was an early initiator of electronic data records and communication and is current on the conclusions of specialists that I have seen and providing me clear information.
Great experience. Had an accident at work, and he was very prompt so I could get back to work. Very funny, and very knowledgable!
I was diagnosed with a mass in the orbit of my left eye 5 months ago. Dr. Josh has been following my case and is very aware of the situation with my eye, with the MRI indicating a possible lymphoma. Today, I was seen at Kresge Eye Institute at Wayne State University due to failed treatments over the past few months. The eye specialist recommended an immediate CAT scan and biopsy. Following directions from my insurance company, (being an HMO with prior auth required for all visits outside the office of the primary care physician)I contacted Dr. Munro's office indicating I needed an urgent referral for emergency surgery. The office staff acted as if I was a huge inconvience and said they would try to get to it. I was on a time limit, and I let them know that. Within an hour I still had not heard back. I called again. The office staff was rude, telling me the Dr. was with patients and they would get to it when they could. I sat in Detroit in limbo, still with no response. Finally, the office staff from Kresge Eye Institue contacted them and the office personnel at Dr. Munro's office replied " you guys have contacted my 6 times today! He refuses to give the authorization." They never called to tell me he refused, in a very cold manner, stating "I'm not authorizing something I'm not providing"! Isn't that what the primary care physician does with an HMO???? So, I almost missed the chance to get the Cat scan to be cleared for the surgery. Kresge Eye institute contacted my insurance company and explained that my Dr. refused to authorize either procedure, and they were able to obtain the authorization. After an already stressful situation, knowing I was going to have surgery on my EYE, I did not need the added stress of being treated so poorly with NO compassion from the Dr's office I have been affiliated with for 10 years! I was devastated, and will not be returning to his office. I cannot express my level of disappointment with the treatment I received from a Dr's office I had worked with and trusted for years, only to be treated with so much compassion and caring for my current situation by a Dr's office I had only been to once.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
