List of Kean B. Lawlor's Reviews
Epic Dermatologist and office!
I would love to be able to review Dr. Lawlor, however, after waiting over one month for my appointment regarding a questionable growth on my leg, his assistant left me a message to inform me that he was canceling. She said I could call her to find out why. When I spoke to her, she said she could not tell me why. She said I would need to speak to my primary physician, who had made the referral. I called her and after two weeks now of my physician's office trying to discover why Dr. Lawlor's office had canceled my appointment after one month, we still have no answers. Dr. Lawlor's office will not respond to the messages that have been left by my doctor and also will not tell me why they canceled my appointment so abruptly. I contacted my insurance, fearing that there was an issue, and they assured me it was not on their end, everything was in place with my insurance and Dr. Lawlor is covered under it. I am 64 years old and have never had an experience like this. Care to respond, Doc?

Dr Lawlor successfully removed the skin cancer from my nose but the best part is that the crater it left on my nose, he repaired it in the same visit and today you cannot even see that the surgery ever happened.
I saw him about 5 years ago specifically for a skin cancer check because high degree of skin cancer in my family history. I asked specifically about a red patch on my face that had been there a few years at that time. He glanced at it, said it's keratosis, and said, "no need to worry." He did not tell me that, while not skin cancer, areas of keratosis have a high risk of turning into skin cancer. He didn't tell me to have it checked periodically. He said "not cancer." He took no biopsy but maybe just by quickly eying it at that time, MAYBE, he could tell if it really was non-cancerous then. MAYBE his diagnosis was correct. But the doc I have now says that my squamous cell carcinoma is both wide-spread and SLOW-spreading. So might have been there 5 years ago. At any rate, Dr. Lawlor definitely shouldn't have told me "not to worry." He SHOULD have told me to watch it carefully. But he didn't. So I now have a big prominent scar on my face. You can do better than seeing Dr. Lawlor for skin cancer diagnosis.

Dr. Lawler is very thorough and excellent practitioner. Highly recommended.
I was thrilled with the care Dr. Lawlor and his staff gave me. I was informed of every step of the surgery. I was very calm and comfortable. Thank you for your time, attention and professional care. Susan Metz

The cancer on my nose was removed and the crater was made to look normal again, same day, same time. I experienced a potential infection and Dr. Lawlor got back to me immediately on his cell phone and called in anti-biotics right away. It’s been over a month since my surgery and I have an after surgery follow up scheduled. I have questions as anyone would but I have no worries moving forward. I am 62 and if I ever need future skin cancer removed, Dr. Lawlor is the only one I would go to.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
