List of Lake Washington Physical Therapy's Reviews
I've worked with a few folks at LWPT over the last few years and they've all been fantastic - friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Their administrative staff is great too. It's a very different experience than I'm used to in the healthcare industry. I could not be happier with my experience here.
I have had nothing but good experiences with LWPT! From the therapists to the folks who answer the phone, they have a great combination of warmth and professionalism.
PT Diana Church has drastically helped heal my neck and back pain. She listens intently and develops programs suited to each persons’ individual needs. You can tell how passionate she is about helping people improve their quality of life. The exercises are moves I can easily incorporate into my regular workouts and will increase longevity overall. Also, if you haven’t tried cupping, I couldn’t recommend it more!
I needed intense PT after getting a total shoulder replacement. Understanding that the recovery would be slow, Mark Bouma tailored my PT to match my recovery abilities. Lake Washington physical therapy also has an excellent and friendly support staff.
I was referred to them from my podiatrist, and I have seen many of the PTs. They’re all very nice, especially Dianna!
Two years ago, I broke my knee. This was not an easy injury from which to recover. The knee cap is tied into many different muscles, ligaments and tendons and the rehabilitation from this injury was extensive and difficult. I was assigned to work with Mark Bouma. Mark is not only a very knowledgeable therapist, but he is also very thoughtful, intuitive about the body in general and he is highly personable. He was able to use his excellent skills and his careful approach to help me to gain back the strength I had lost in the accident and by the time I was through treatment, I had nearly full range of motion. At this time, i have complete range of motion and have regained all my strength in the knee, thanks to Mark's expertise and care. Nearly 29 years ago, in childbirth, I injured my left hip. When I broke my knee, the stress on my left hip caused the hip to fail. This injury now became yet another issue which would require rehabilitation. I knew that at some point, after my knee was completely rehabilitated, I would need a hip replacement surgery. Over the two years of strengthening my knee, I was receiving regular injections of cortisone into the hip, which was very helpful in eliminating the pain in my hip, but it was not a permanent solution. Finally, in February of this year, it became clear that I would need the hip replaced and the day I received my surgery date, I called Lake Washington Physical Therapy and asked to work with Mark Bouma again, trusting that he would know exactly the best way to help with my rehabilitation from this surgery. I had the hip replacement surgery on May 24 and began physical therapy a couple of weeks after, twice per week. Mark again understood the way my body responds and he was incredibly intuitive about the issues I was facing. The surgery itself was a great success. But in the 29 years since I had been suffering with the childbirth injury, several muscles atrophied and this caused difficulty with the large tendon which runs from the hip to the knee (the IT Band). Mark worked with me to strengthen the muscles which are involved in ameliorating the IT Band condition and to help me to regain strength, as well as balance and endurance. I think he may be one of the most skilled practitioners I have seen with my conditions over these many years. The clinic itself is beautiful and the equipment is state of the art. The staff and the other therapists are clearly top notch. I hope I do not need to have PT again, but if I do, I have no doubt I would want to work with Mark again. For my two very challenging situations, I felt I was in the best hands possible.
LWPT is a great place to receive physical therapy in West Seattle. Both my husband and I have received excellent care there and I highly recommend their services to anyone needing PT. Their therapists are highly trained and very professional.
The business is well run. Appointments can be made easily and they can get you in sooner if someone cancels. The PT staff evaluates the injury and then starts working on the problem in small steps that you can do at home in between appointments. They also include access to videos of you can view. I had the same PT work with me. Her name is Dianna Church. She is very personable with people and knows what she is doing to treat you. I highly recommend them all.
Very happy with my experience here. All staff is warm, welcoming and knowledgeable.
Great team! The warmth and smiles as soon as you walk in/out of the doors.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
