List of Laura Colman's Reviews
I've only been to see Dr. Colman once so far, but she left a great first impression. She took a lot of time with me and I felt seen and heard. She's also very congenial. Will definitely be back to see her again.
Dr. Colman is an amazing doctor, for both me and my infant son. She was my OB throughout pregnancy, delivered my son, and has provided consistently high quality care throughout his first year. Dr. Colman is always forthcoming with options and takes the time to explain anything we might have questions about. I wish it was a bit easier to get into see her in short notice, but it’s likely because she has a full book of patients who love having her as their doctor.
Dr. Coleman puts up a really good facade. The first few visits I really trusted that she was a good listener, and that she would help guide me to back to health. Unfortunately, she was just placating me, and I should not have trusted her. She wasted a lot of my time, and did not have my best interest in mind. She decided that I was a certain kind of person, then treated me accordingly. I felt very judged, misunderstood, and she did fare more damage than good. She did not give me the referrals I requested, and the "referrals" (turning me over to some Quartet system that's about as efficient as just googling things yourself, only it takes months instead of seconds) were all awful. After struggling through the painful withdrawals and social consequences of getting myself on suboxone, this woman actually reccomend that I go get back on the methadone program. My life spiralled downward and I suffered for an entire year trying to get back on my feet because of her incompetence. I had a doctor previously that I adored. I had been a patient at the Polyclinic for 14 years, so I trusted that all of the doctors were wonderful. They aren't all wonderful though. If you are a person experiencing trauma,or a person trying to recover from addiction, stay away from Dr.Coleman. She's two faced, and doesn't see you as a real human being. I'm Ok now. I just had to stop retraumatizing myself with doctors. I now have even worse phobias regarding trusting the peoole who are supposed to help me, but at least I'm not a wreck from subjecting myself to being looked down on oe being labeled
Dr. Colman is a true gem! She is responsive, respectful, and makes me feel heard as a patient. She used evidence based practices to inform my plan of care, and I feel like we partnered together to take care of my health and my child’s health. She is also really respectful, positive and just all around pleasant. Several times she’s gone what feels like above and beyond (compared with other doctors I’ve had at different practices) - consulting with other departments, calling back after hours to address a concern, and just being present. I had to move and switch insurance or I would definitely continue to see her. I highly recommend Dr. Colman!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
