Mahnaz Mellati's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Mellati is one of the few doctors that cares about the "whole picture" of care for the patient. Her commitment to detail and ability to figure out the best treatment is outstanding. I have also been very impressed with her ability to gather information from other doctors to piece the puzzle together to figure out other issues that may be going on and then being able to communicate so clearly and concisely what she found and how to fix the issue! I will follow her wherever she goes. She has made such a difference in my life and wellbeing.

Dr. Mellati provides the perfect combination of experience, intelligence, passion, commitment, and care. She is deeply invested in her work and is one of the best doctors I've ever visited. In addition to using her expertise in endocrinology to diagnose and apparently cure my condition, she also consistently communicated with me at every step of the way, educating me in a way I could understand. Her curiosity and passion also shined through in every visit, reviewing my data, asking questions, listening to my experiences, and communicating her thought processes. She gave me confidence because, in addition to her knowledge, experience, and expertise, she consistently paid attention to details, treated me as an individual, and seemed to always actively consider new possibilities and possible unknowns. I'm very satisfied both with the outcome and process and have the highest confidence and trust in Dr. Mellati after being her patient over the last year.

I'd give her a 10+ I would take my mother who had complex issues and lived in both a world of denial and was too polite to say anything was wrong. Dr. Mellati was wonderful in how she respected her, managed to get facts and left my mother feeling happy through it all. At the end she was able to provided an exemplary treatment plan. Dr. Mellati is one of the most kind and brilliant doctors I’ve worked with. I saw her after a diagnosis, 4 months after having a baby, completely a wreck and feeling so pessimistic and scared. Not only did she put me at ease, but took amazing care of me. I can’t imagine my recovery journey without her on my team.

Doctor Mellati is the best endo I've seen for my type 1 diabetes. She really cares, is forward thinking, and has helped me improve my control immensely. She is super friendly too and has a great bedside manner. I feel like she really cares and listens. 5 stars!!!!

Dr. Mellati works with me to monitor my Type 1 diabetes and has also helped me with a weight loss issue. She is an intelligent and caring professional who has helped me tremendously to stay healthy and active. I find her knowledge of insulin pump therapy to be better than any other professional with whom I have worked. I feel very lucky to have her by my side.

First few visits were really good. Not sure what happened during Covid but when I had a zoom appointment she basically yelled at me for taking HRT. This happened after she withheld my thyroid meds because I hadn’t made an appointment with her in a year. Thus making my TSH raise. This all happened as I was waiting on a diagnosis from a biopsy where I found out I had a rare case of lymphoma! Unless you had a serious endocrine disease I recommend see your PCP anyone can draw blood and adjust meds. No need seeing Dr Mellati unless you want to feel belittled by taking your own health into your own hands.

This doctor decided that my extreme emotional and physical fatigue was mental illness not anemia - I insisted it was iron deficiency- I had to fight for an appointment and fight for a blood test- and it came back with a ferritin of 9- I was seriously ill and anemic - she never apologized for her ignorance about iron deficiency anemia nor has she changed the record about the illness- Nor did she help me arrange an infusion. She was very neglectful- I was sick an extra two weeks because of her.

This woman doesn't know much of anything- I had severe iron deficiency and she was determined my extreme fatigue and emotional exhaustion was all in my head....it wasn't- I had to argue to get her to test my ferritin again - I had a ferritin of 9 (lower by the time I managed to get my own IV iron infusion)- Her ignorance cost me weeks of feeling really ill- and in her arrogance she never apologized ...
