Dr Mankey is amazing. He is so attentive and thorough. He is personally vested in success of every surgery he does. You can tell this by his follow ups. I had a bunionectomy performed by Dr Mankey last year. I don't think all surgeries like this are the same and mine was pretty severe. 3 separate cuts in the foot, basically breaking toes, shaving bone off, and screwing it back together. Mankey required a regimented follow-up Xray process to ensure healing was exactly as it should be. With each appointment he closely evaluated the XRays and provided changes in direction as necessary. This included no walking on it or exercise past the original plan because he saw something concerning in an XRay - which eventually healed. Now I am bunion-less and have been back to my regular running routine this year with no issues!

Probably ~3 years after, I visited Dr Mankey to get checked up on, and to talk about getting the other foot done. I mostly wanted to be sure he would still be working and not retired before I got the second foot done. He informed me he was nowhere close to retiring. I got my second foot surgery on the left foot completed by Dr Mankey, and the recovery period was even better. I asked him how this one was different, and he explained why in a way that made sense to me. When it comes to my feet, I trust Dr Mankey. I went to many other Dr's and podiatrist's before I settled on Dr Mankey to solve my for and ankle problems, and he was the right choice.

Dr. Mankey is a gifted surgeon. 18 years ago he worked my feet, four surgical procedures at a time on each foot (one year apart). Now approaching 60 years old, my feet are the least of my concerns. - Aging & Athletic
