Overall I'm very impressed with Dr. Chen and his office staff. They are prompt and courteous. Dr. Chen is very pleasant. He is a great listener and spent the time necessary to help me solve my ongoing sinus issues. He was very gentle in his scoping procedure and within 2 visits all of his recommendations had greatly improved my situation. He has referred me to an allergist for further input. I highly recommend this doctor.

It was clear from the moment he entered the exam room (half an hour late) that he didn't give one iota about my well-being. He didn't hear or respect what I told him. He was far more interested in promoting surgical procedures, which I don't feel I need at this point. Anyway, I still need ENT advice, but feel stuck after seeing him. I don't trust him, and I don't want to follow up with him.

He is very intelligent and thoughtful. Helped me quickly and effectively. I would highly recommend 👌

Dr MC Chen, ENT visit and follow up failed miserably on many levels. Dismissed my symptoms, did not address my sinus issues and sleep apnea. Test results were consistently untimely. I would not recommend.

I saw Dr. Chen this year for a tonsillectomy. He was very detailed and thorough with describing the procedure and side effects and allowed me to take time to think about my options. He is extremely professional and him and his team were amazing during and after surgery. I completely trusted him throughout the process.

Dr. Chen takes the time to explain everything and he doesn't take chances on your health. I feel like he holds the patient's health at the top of his list. He is busy so get on his wait list!

While visiting to determine if I was a candidate for tonsillectomy to alleviate sleep apnea, Dr. Chen examined my nose and throat with a small camera threaded through my nose. What he did not tell me is that this was technically surgery, and I had no idea that saying "yes" to "do you mind if I take a look?" would cost me $275. He recommended a surgery that would remove the uvula in addition to tonsils. I'd never heard of this, so I asked if the uvula was vestigial. Apparently "I think some languages use it," but he didn't seem interested in whether any of those languages are, say, languages I speak in my home. One absolutely is. I cannot say whether it would have come up as part of the subsequent surgical consult, but electively getting a speech impediment is not among my life goals.

Probably a qualified doctor, but he was putting pressure on me to have a fairly invasive surgery for what is a minor and tolerable sinus issue. I ran this recommendation by my primary care doctor, and he said "the surgery would be good for the doctor, but not so good for you". This level of pressure for an elective and fairly risky surgery is troubling.

Went in for chronic sinusitis that I'd had for many years. This was after I'd checked with an allergist who said it wasn't allergies. The issue is what I'd classify as annoying, but very tolerable not one that created any health risks. After a round of prednisone, antibiotics, and a few nasal sprays, he recommended fairly major surgery. He put on the sale fairly aggressively, even telling me "you don't want to sound sick all the time". I guess I'm a bit nasally. I opted not for surgery, and talked to my primary care doc about this. Primary care doc said that upper sinus surgery would be very invasive, high risk, and not a very high chance of improvement. As he said "the surgery would be good for the doctor, but not good for you".
