List of Richard A. Failor Md's Reviews
Dr. Failor is very knowledgable and is great at keeping me updated about my health.
Referred to Dr. Failor by my physician. I’m fairly sure Dr. Failor reviewed my medical history before my visit which I think is rare given the volume of patients seen by most doctors these days. He asked many questions before discussing treatment options (it seemed he had a good idea as to my diagnosis). After a through exam he sent me to the lab for an additional test to confirm his diagnosis. He spent almost 25 minutes with me during the entire visit. I wish all my visits to a physician’s office were similar to this one. Great value and experience.
I had a first time appt with another provider at the clinic that was ill at the last minute. I was at the clinic and was going to have to reschedule. Dr. Failor was willing to see me if I could wait. He was SOOOO worth the wait. His bed side manor was amazing. I had been diagnosed with a chronic illness. He walk my sister and I through every step of what had occurred from symptom, test result, medication and Diagnosis. End result was I do not have a chronic illness I just need to recover from an acute illness. (he also explained why I was given the Dx by my primary provider and referred to a specialist) He was overall amazing, not because he gave me great news, but because of the way he treated me. Thank you so very much for everything.

Dr Failor has been following my case for about 6 years. I have had a lifelong need to be followed by an endocrinologist because of my rare genetic disorder (VHL) that makes me prone to tumors. I have had 4 endocrinologists in my life and he has been one of the very best (tied with my east coast endo for best). I have also had countless other doctors in my life, both the worst and the best, and I count him among the very best. He is attentive and thoughtful, and I always feel comfortable asking him anything or sharing my various anxieties or concerns with him. Having such a disease as mine can make one paranoid and hyper aware of one's body, and for good reason (it has saved my life on more than one occasion). I can trust Dr. Failor to always answer my questions with serious consideration and never to brush off my concerns. He is also very helpful and generous with his time through the hospital email system and I can always count on a quick response from him personally. He is an essential member of my care team and I am glad I found him when I moved to the area.
One of the worst medical appointments I’ve been to. He behaved like he was tranquilized, was strangely mean spirited and confrontational. It was a sickening, creepy experience!
I should have written this review a long time ago! Dr. Failor is the BEST endocrinologist. I wish I could have moved him with me to a new state. Dr. Failor did my pre and long term post care due to a pituitary adenoma. He was very sensitive to how I was feeling and ensured that blood tests were performed every 6 months to verify the levels of cortisol and other hormones n my blood. I miss him terribly!
The experience that I had with this person (I refuse to call him a doctor because doctors don’t behave so poorly you get to keep that title!) was nothing like the experience that the other reviewers stated. Encountering him was a horrible, miserable experience! Getting him to answer questions directly was a nightmare! He was cruel and harsh and evasive! It was one of the worst medical appointments I’ve ever had and I’ve had many because of my complicated health! I cannot recommend him whatsoever. He behaved like he was drugged. When he looked me in the face it was like he was looking through me. He wouldn’t look at me and be compassionate whatsoever! This was devastating because I sincerely needed his help. His colleague had prescribed a medication to me that gave me serious and dangerous side effects which I needed his help recovering from. He was utterly useless and helping me deal with the situation. I wonder why a person would even remain in practice and behave this way!
I am astonished that the other reviewer would say such kind and compassionate things about this doctor. This doctor must have something going on that would make him behave absolutely the polar opposite of what the other reviewer has stated. The person that I encountered it refers to himself as Dr. Failor, Was a bizarre, dissociated, unfriendly, even mean spirited person who showed me absolutely no care or bedside manner. He would not even give me any guidance to go to find care or somewhere else
I’ve been a patient of Dr. Failor’s for close to four years. He has always had the upmost professional disposition while being personal enough to express genuinely concern about me. I leave always feeling heard. I know it doesn’t mean much, but even when I’ve seen him a whole year later, he has remembered details about my personal life that has made me feel like he truly cares.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
