I have been seeing Dr Murray for over 20 years, he is patient, kind and understanding. He has adjusted my meds and I feel I am in good hands with him. He explains what is going on.

Outstanding thorough caring physician!

He was the best endocrinologist I have seen since Peter Capell. I took the time to get me on the right medication I did so well on it. Now I don't live in Washington and I am having trouble keeping my levels good.

Unbelievably incompetent. Dr Murray's office can no longer be reached by phone, due to short staffing. I've had multiple prescriptions lapse for weeks just because this office couldn't sign and fax a simple form. This incompetence actively endangers his patients. Worst experience I've even had with Dr's office. Go anywhere else but here.

I have a rare endocrine disorder and this endocrinologist over-prescribed me thyroid medications when my labs had clearly indicated I didn't need them. I told him I didn't feel well on the medications and he ignored that and said to keep taking them. I wound up in the ER with a thyroid storm and gallbladder attack from the thyroid medications. When this happened he was out of town, but one of his colleagues told me to stop taking those medications immediately- that I shouldn't have been on them, and to start taking a medication to lower my heart rate and irregular beats caused by the hyperthyroid/thyroid storm. When I went to see him for a final visit to explain what had happened and to try to get some answers he again dismissed me, mocked my lifestyle choices (of eating healthy and desiring to be able to exercise again) and refused to take responsibility for over-prescribing the thyroid medications. I am writing this review to warn others. And to remind you to trust your intuition and listen to your body.

Dr. Robert Murray is an amazing endocrinologist. He is my 6th endocrinologist since I was diagnosed with Graves in 2012 (I lived in 4 different cities since then), and he most definitely falls in the league with our nation's top doctors in the field (e.g., I used to be seen by the head of the thyroid clinic at Johns Hopkins). I came to him after a relapse of Graves after a year-long remission, and his incredible care, attention to detail, extensive experience treating thyroid disorder patients, and care have helped me normalize my labs within 6 months. I always come prepared with several questions, and he is very patient and thorough in answering them. He also ran a test that no other doctor thought to run before, which uncovered some important factors for my treatment. I am counting my lucky stars that I found him. (Note: I was with the UW endocrinology department before, which was a big mistake.)

I have been seeing Dr Robert Murray for 5 years now, and I’m so thankful I found a specialist that understands how to treat the symptoms of thyroid disease. I was scared I would be prescribed only t-4 as most doctors, but he made sure to adjust t-3 accordingly to address all of my hypothyroid symptoms. After seeing a number of doctors who misdiagnosed me, Dr Murray finally found me relief. Highly recommend.

This individual is at the end of the day a huge backer of synthroid, and is unfortunately very set in his ways and beliefs. He prescribed me medication I told him I was allergic too and ignored my symptoms all so he could run expensive and unnecessary blood and CT scans that showed nothing new from the 10 history I had for him to review. He ignored the information and just did what he wanted - so I fired him. If you are a thyroid patient (I have Hashimotos) then you are better to avoid this "expert" in favor of a doctor who will learn new skills and modern treatment instead of criticizing all "that crazy stuff on the internet" - his words. That crazy stuff helped me learn I have severe hashi's when doctors like this man told me I was fine. End of the day he's good at making money for Polyclinic by pushing their expensive tests and treatments. Nothing more, and nothing helpful.
