List of Ruby Farooqi's Reviews
Has no actual understanding of depression or anxiety or the ways they manifest. Had to get my primary care doctor (her) to sign a waiver for a medical leave at my college due to depression and anxiety, and all she did was demean me. She did not understand how severe depression would make it difficult to get out of bed or go to class.
I am a RN and Dr Farooqi I has been my primary doctor for over for almost 20 years ,since she was a resident . She has always been so quick to send what ever test result and make sure your notified and has even called personally in the past to see if i had any questions .her devotion to pt quality care is why she remains my Dr to this day .
My husband and I have been seeing Dr. Farooqi for over 10 years. She has been very empathetic, caring and takes time the to listen. Dr. Farooqi has been a very good fit for our family.
I've never had such a terrible experience at a doctors office before. I went in to address cluster headaches and chest pain; the only thing this doctor was concerned about was pushing pharmaceutical drugs down my throat that was for something entirely different and attempted to tell me that in the 10 minutes roughly that I spoke with her that she knew my entire medical history just by looking at a 3 year old emergency room visit I had. That's why she was prescribing me anti anxiety medications; not even addressing the chest pain OR the headaches- she actually put in my chart she was addressing panic attacks and GAD- Which isn't at all why I went into her clinic. I think a paycheck is mostly what this person is after mostly with Pharmaceutical companies after refusing the medications 3 separate times in the conversation I had with her. I left her office in tears and called the "specialist" that was referred to me and they weren't even available to get me into imaging until JULY that's two months more of skull crushing headaches that makes it impossible for me to work or even get up out of bed to feed myself. So I went to the ER and they were even upset as I was describing this doctors lack of care and methodology in her practice. After spending most of my day at the ER and finding out actual answers and getting the medication I actually needed for Cluster headaches/Migraines. I felt compelled to talk with her manager actually went back to the doctor's office; who was more accommodating and attentive than the actual doctor believing in more holistic practices besides prescribing anti anxiety medications that the doctor couldn't tell me with a straight answer if I could go to work and drive while taking them. The manager spoke to me and said she could get my apt with the specialist moved up to next week that I would get a referral for an acupuncturist... I honestly wish that woman was a doctor she seemed to have more bedside manner and care about patients than the actual doctor. If my chart isn't updated with the accurate reasoning behind my doctors visit I would be even more compelled to address this issue with the Washington State Medical Commission. Being a former medical professional seeing/and being treated with absolute prejudice goes against everything what medical professionals stand for; caring for patients.
Dr. Farooqi is a phenomenal medical professional. She is incredibly empathetic, a strong listener, and incredibly intelligent. Her optimism and positivity have always made me feel extremely confident and comfortable with her guidance. I have never had a more devoted doctor.
Dr. Farooqi is a phenomenal listener, advocate and medical professional. She has continuously gone above and beyond for me as a patient. I cannot recommend her to new patients enough. She is kind, intelligent, and her bedside manner is incredible.
She seems to have her own agenda as to how to treat you, and any conditions. She believes that medications is the true path over exercise or changing eating habits . It's very frustrating and it's also difficult to find a good doctor during Covid!!
Do not recommend. I am well aware that I have gained a lot of weight since quarantining. I went to Dr. Farooqi for my normal yearly physical. She recommended I go on a specific antidepressant that would help me "lose weight". I was offended and shocked that a doctor would recommend such an unhealthy way to lose weight. Luckily I am in a pretty good mental state, but this could easily encourage someone with an eating disorder that their is something wrong with their body. I'm finding a new doctor.
I have been going to Dr. Farooqi for years. She has an incredible bedside manner and takes the time to talk with you. She's honest and let's you take part in your care actively. I've always appreciated her guidance.
Ruby Farooqi should only be allowed to work in a lab. She should not see patients. I brought my elderly mother to Farooqi. Farooqi read aloud all the health conditions my mom has, to my mom, who has dementia. She did this 3 times. Farooqi used hand gestures to animate how MANY conditions my mom has. My mom was embarrassed and I was angry. My mom needed a new primary care physician, so the search continues.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
