Swedish Medical Group's Online Review Report Card

I was airlifted from another hospital and driven by ambulance to Swedish hospital, Cherry Hill campus.  The doctors, of course, were excellent.  Drs. Berney, Jung, Parker and Pappas made me a part of the team.  They spoke to me on my level.  I can't say enough about the exceptional quality of the nursing staff.  My call light would only be on a moment.  They went above and beyond the call of duty to explain what was happening.  They walked me in the hall in both ICU and floor 4, telemetry.  They were 100% in their commitment to excellence in nursing care.  If you have to be hospitalized, Swedish is the place to go.  To top it off, the food was delicious and delivered with a smile.  Other departments: radiology, lab, echo all were committed to excellence.

Swedish has good things and some bad things from when I was there as a little kid and stay in The hospital the nurses would always get medications wrong a lot of times witch is very bad and dangerous for a big hospital very bad a medication but Swedish is a hospital known to have great Neurologist I had 2 great Neurologist there that were both kind and would give good input like Edna Simon and And Michael Doherty they are both great Neurologist and very helpful and can give great ideas specially Michael Doherty.

I have visited Cherry Hill Swedish medical center for orthopaedic help and have been very happy with the diagnosis .. they do a temperature check at the entrance and make sure everyone is masked up and they have waiting area on each floor with social distance practiced.. parking can be a pain since street parking is very hard to find and paid parking on their premises is limited..

For the past two months I have been working on getting spinal surgery with Dr. Chapman Swedish.  It has been the best experience of any medical procedure I have ever had. Dr. Chapman really cared about me and what my expected outcome would be. The day of surgery I was met some of the most wonderful nurses anesthesiologist etc. When in the recovery room the nurse was a wonderful southern grandmother who was nothing but pleasant but I was coming out from anesthesia. The overnight nurse was friendly appropriate and very cheerful which helped the recovery immensely. The next morningI was greeted by the doctor. Explain to me what I needed to do in order to have the best recovery possible. I was then discharged. The room was a comfortable size room, clean, and fully self-contained.  The food was acceptable with some entrées being better than others but that's not a big deal.

I was admitted to SMCCHC from KP/CAP HILL and arrived there by ambulance. They took me to a room that was very clean and the nursing staff was very professional and friendly. They made me laugh and took very good care of me during my stay, BTW the grilled salmon there is PERFECTO to the max. Thanks for all you help and very much appreciated ...forever grateful.............

In the spite of Asian American hate crimes, my dad also experienced the harsh and venomous attitude/treatment from the on-duty doctor at the ER where he was admitted around 11am on 03/27.  He's a surviving stroke patient and still suffers from the severe pains on his left leg and hand.  He was taken to ER due to his paralyzed leg from severe pain for nights, which his family doctor couldn't diagnose.  The on-duty doctor at the ER questioned him why he showed up to the ER when he had no life in danger.  This ailing old Asian man was humiliated by this doctor who he believes would help and relieve his severe pain.  How would this doctor define life in danger when this surviving stroke old man becomes paralyzed from the severe pain?  As a MHA graduate, I'm shocked to hear about this incident and about the professionalism from this ER doctor.   I've heard enough about human rights.  Where're the human rights?  In God's eyes, we're all equal.  As healthcare workers, please demonstrate your professionalism and care to any patient regardless of their skin of color or religion or gender.

Performed an unsafe discharge on a patient who couldn’t ambulate or even sit up without losing consciousness. When their feeble treatment attempt was unsuccessful they sent her home to elderly relatives via ambulance on a stretcher without a discharge plan for toileting, bathing, eating, etc. Patient experienced first of many seizures on the ambulance ride home and has not been able to get out of bed ever since. That was over a year ago now. Swedish Cherry Hill functions like a criminal enterprise. The case manager, nurses, head of inpatient rehab, and one of the hospitalists were all extremely cruel and deprived patient of food, iv fluids, blood pressure meds and a way to urinate on her final day in the hospital. The experience was dehumanizing for the patient and all who participated in her mental and physical torture should be ashamed of themselves and punished accordingly. I would not take a dog to Swedish let alone a friend or relative. The worst hospital in Seattle by far.

This emergency room is the worst.  They are rude, condescending and have no ability to show compassion.  I have Taken family members her several times and always the same issue.  This is the ER we had to go to for heart issues because the cardiologist office is connected to this hospital.  Do not go here if you can avoid it.  If you work in this ER, find a new line of work because you are terrible at your job.

Wouldn't recommend. Seems like a pill shop. Waited over an hour for doctor. Condescending. Not current on recent medical studies. Another doctor I saw later elsewhere said they had misdiagnosed me. I recommend against seeing Dr. Eastman, for anything. I'm done with this place.
