Every time I go here very unpleasant swidishh first hill is better costumer service and nicer.
Worst experience. The staff from front desk they are great. But the doctor is the worst doctor I ever had. I came to her with problems and of course I did analysis and after she said "I don't know why you have this problem". Ok, maybe I need to do more check ups. So, I did ultrasound (the lady from Ultrasound was great and she was very concern how I’m feeling +5 star for her). After ultrasound, my doctor told me the same answer "I don't know why you have this problem". In the end I did not resolve my issue, I paid the bills from Swedish which is normal. But I just wanted my issue to be resolved.(is not about money). I don't know maybe more analysis. I also asked her "and what I'm suppose to do now or maybe let’s do more check ups". She just looked at me and "I don't know". I was shocked honestly.I left Swedish Medical Center very very upset and disappointed (after 3 visits). And now I need to find a different doctor and spend again on bills.
I came in to the ER for a non-life threatening problem with my foot. Plenty of nearby parking. Also convenient drop off/pick up locations right outside the ER. I waited only a few minutes for intake staff who were fast, friendly and very efficient. No paperwork to fill out. Once in a room, gathering of medical info, ultrasound, X-ray, diagnosis, prescriptions and discharge took only a few hours. Rooms were very clean, comfortable and well lit. Ultrasound and X-ray was done in the room. All staff were amazing! All were friendly, thorough, professional and caring. They took time to explain each step and allowed plenty of time for any questions I had. All areas that I was in were extremely clean and all precautions against COVID are taken very seriously. It was a great experience all the way around and I would highly recommend them.Update 3/25/21I would still give their ER the much deserved 5 stars. However, their billing dept deserves a huge 0. Absolute worst billing dept I’ve ever dealt with! I’m currently making payments on a bill from my ER visits. Payments were easy to set up and they’ll work with you to come up with an amount that fits easily into your budget. Since receiving confirmation of payment agreement, I have made three payments early using their automated system. Today I get a notice in the mail stating that not only had they not received a single payment but this was the second notice they’d sent. I have confirmation numbers for all three payments plus I’ve verified that all three left my checking account. I never received any other notice. My second complaint regarding billing is a group that bills separately for services in the ER; Ballard ER Physicians. I received two bills from them; separate account numbers. Since they’re within the same group, I wrote one check and noted both account numbers on the check. I never received any other communications from them. Last week I received a notice from a collection agency stating both bills had been turned over to them for collection. I verified with my bank that the check cleared two weeks after it was written. I contacted Ballard ER Physicians and was told it could take up to 21 business days for them to do an internal investigation and find out what they did with my check! In short, I’ve ran into nothing but total incompetence from the billing dept that would be comical if it weren’t for the fact that I’ve wasted nearly two hours of my time trying to clear these bills up plus my credit may be damaged by their incompetence. I will definitely be contacting the Attorney General’s office.
After hip replacement I spent 1 night in the hospital. Having several surgeries in recent years I can say the care, support and attention to detail was exceptional. Starting with Dr. Downer and followed buy OT and PT and ending with the nursing staff the stay was great. Nurses Alex and Peter should be given awards for their care and concern for this somewhat demanding patient. Thank you so much ! William Niekamp
It’s 9:40PM on a school night and it sounds like a leaf blower is running in the parking garage. It’s very loud in my apartment across the street - what’s up? Also the HID exterior lighting is on 24/7, which is definitely against electrical code. I appreciate that you are a medical facility but can something be done about being a respectful neighbor?
I miss coming here for appointments. I have struggled to find doctors who care and respond to my issues, but never had to here. I have had a wonderful experience with the doctors here and I even delivered my son through their midwife program which I hear is no longer at this location. But I loved that experience as well. I have since moved and have to find a new doctor, but I would highly recommend Swedish to anyone looking. They treat you like a human being and listen to you and not all doctors do.I found that even the nurses were very nice and welcoming. I myself have some issues that I need to chase down and wish I had taken the time to do so with the doctor I had. The stand in doctor, I think her name was Alishia, was particularly great and there were times I wish she was my primary care doctor instead and I've heard others say the same.
I had another great experience at Ballard Swedish. Dr Garcia, my surgeon is the very best. My anesthesiologist, Dr Henderson was terrific, and did a wonderful job with my block and general anesthesia . The admission clerk, was tops, and the pre surgery nurses, especially Marcia, was wonderful. My surgical nurse and recovery nurses were kind and caring. I would definitely choose Swedish again for any of my future surgical procedures.
The service was horrible! The doctor was almost an hour late and did not offer an apology or excuse. Then she proceeded to talk down to me and insinuated she knew more about my medical history than I did. She acted as if I was lying about it. When she realized it was her mistake again, no apology or explanation. In fact she doubled down. Then it was all fake smiles and see you later. Not even sure what to do with this one.
This was a fabulous experience here today at the Swedish hospital Tallman Ave NW in Ballard.Marcia my nurse who checked me inn was positive-vibrant and sweet. Of course DR Kratz was easy to talk with and the procedure was quick and efficient! My two nurses Lee and Katie was super knowledgeable and caring to my needs. Answered all my simple questions and pleased me with juice and crackers. The chemistry and team work was amazing.I’m a very happy camper thanks to Swedish hospital.5 stars is deserved,Sean Po,
The care I received was beyond belief ridiculous. Multiple providers over multiple dates did not read my labs but claimed they did. I documented this extensively on my website www.SwedishLies.com - I would suggest avoiding this place like the plague.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
