List of The Polyclinic Broadway Lab's Reviews
I went for an appointment in gastroenterology for which I had waited months. I checked in, and was placed in a room, ready for the doc, whenI was told my medicare advantage plan was no longer accepted.1 - I knew they were in negotiations, but had received a message that my date was still in affect. If it wasn't, why hadn't they CALLED so this 80 years didn't have to trudge through the snow for nothing! 2 - In fact it is still in effect - until the 23rd of this month. But the wait for a new appointment is two or three months. 3 - according to my insurance company, I was covered and would have been covered anyway due to some declared rules because of covid. 4 -- This is the most important - their phone system ishorrid! You get one number (1760) to call, and then the catch me if you camgame begins. Some operates are wonderful once you finally get them, butthe customer service representatives must be fed lemons all day. Rude, argumentative, and stop just short of saying "I don't care." I love my GP,but may never set foot in a polyclinic office again. They could have avoidedmy making a formal complaint thru my insurance if they had just not wastedthree hours of my time and been a bit nice about the fact I now have to wait several months again.
DO NOT GO TO THE POLYCLINIC. They have some great doctors...BUTSince United Health Group bought the Polyclinic, patient services are non-existent. When you call to schedule or reach a specific department, such as Internal Medicine, Urology, Gastroenterology, Orthopedics, etc...you are told to call 911 or wait until someone answers. Guess what...they never do answer. I have been on hold at least 20+ times for 1.5 to 2.5 hours with no response. You have an option for a "callback". Guess what...they never call back. They must have one person for the entire business responsible for answering calls. This is cost cutting gone berserk and has no place in the medical services. It does not matter how great the doctors or care is...if you cannot schedule an appointment to see someone, or talk to someone to determine if you need to see someone, it is a pointless exercise to have an unreachable doctors office. The customer service at the Polyclinic is ZERO. Each department used to have it's own check-in area. They have combined them into one desk to save money. They do not have people answering calls, to save money. The Polyclinic has become totally profit oriented and zero attention to the patients. A lot of great doctors have left for greener pastures, and most of the current medical staff are inexperienced new graduate doctors. Check it out for yourself on their website. If you decide to go, good luck trying to reach anyone on the phone. By the way, you cannot schedule an appointment online yourself. Plan to drop dead while waiting to get into the Polyclinic.
Unfortunately Polyclinic decided it needed to be taken over by one of the largest healthcare providers in the country and the affects it has had upon staffing and service have become quite apparent. A plethora of long time physicians have left including 5 of the7 cardiologist. My PCP of 25 years decided to call it quits and alluded to me that the acquisition was among the reason for leaving. When you used to visit the Madison Center center every department had their own check-in desk staff. Now, each floor has a single station for checking in and the process is nowhere as near as pleasurable as it used to be. On Monday of this week I called the Ballard Polyclinic Family Medicine and chose to not request a call-back. Their VM system sakes you every 2 minutes if you would like a call back. If you fail to indicate that you want to wait, the system will automatically put you in the queue for a call-back. After waiting 20 minutes on hold I chose the call-back feature. This was at 8:45AM and at 3:30PM is still had not heard back. I chose the call-back option again and waited until 4:30 when I called back agin and chose to wait. After 5 minutes I got a live person. I explained that I had been scheduled for surgery the first week of May and that my PCP had retired, the new doctor my old PCP referred me to apparently brought all of her old patients to Polyclinic and I wouldn't be able to see her until the middle of Jun at Madison Center. I chose to contact The Polyclinic in Ballard because I had seen a couple of the other doctors over the year. I asked the woman who answered the phone "what the heck is going on there. You must be new. What did they do, fire all the old staff?" There was a nervous chuckle on the other end of the line and she said that she was indeed new. She didn't speak to staffing shortages but, I could tell she was frustrated as there was nobody she could ask to answer a question she had. What a shame. Another great institution is being raided for the sake of Optimum's share holders it would seem. I used to hold Polyclinic in rather high regard for the level of care and service you'd receive. I have had trouble booking a echogram as well. Promised phone calls never materialize. Wierd responses via MyChart to health problems discussed with the responding physician who see,s to have forgotten why you were saw them in the first place. Now when I go, instead of enjoying the vast collection of art their locations have, I think about the staff they could have retained for the cost of one of the Toby prints on the wall.
This place is a joke they just about money and cdi imaging is there too so they can both profit from you only help they give u is to change your died avoid kyung hi han md she wont do nothing for you
This review is for the facilities only (not the service provided). The parking garage has no cell coverage or WIFI, and as an escort you are asked to wait in the car. They may call you. But that won't work. Also, only one elevator is operating which makes for very crowded situations. Not good during COVID. This place needs some serious work
You guys refuse to itemize bills you send and tell us what each bills are connected to which service. Then you go after your patients with lawyers?!! Talk about sharks! Your such a bad company that you can't hold on to your doctors. In the many years and being a patient who goes to all your locations I have to keep looking for new doctors because they always leave. I went in for urgent care one time and it was after lunch. He kept trying pressure me to make him my regular doctor but what was worse he smelled badly of alcohol! Next urgent care I sought he didn't even examine me. Just asked me questions and made me leave. I was still charged in full! Even good doctors I saw, your assistants rushes everything to get us out of the door so your doctor can meet their quota's. Poor employees who are forced to give minimal care. They must be so discouraged, thus very poor patient care. Your practice is an exact modern model of healthcare today. Pushing profit over care. Thats why you had to find a buyer before going out of business. I am now finding independent and outside doctors to manage my families healthcare with actual care.
The Polyclinic's covid clinic is unable to tell you the results of a covid-19 test! I went in last week and had the test. They said to go to MyChart for the results. I went to MyChart but discovered it is non-functioning. Incidentally, I've had a MyChart account since MyChart began but now it doesn't recognize my username, doesn't recognize my password, and when I try to reset, the reset function is inoperable. Because it isn't working I had to call MyChart tech support. No one was there. I had to leave a message with a call back number. No one has called me back. When I called the covid clinic yesterday to get the results becase MyChart isn't working, I got conflicting information about when and how the results would be gotten to me. I called the clinic again today because I got a message via email that the results were in. So, what are the results? No one can tell me. Again, I've had to leave a call back number. I have little confidence anyone will call me back because when they say they will, they don'g. Am I infected? Am I not infected? Do I have to isolate until someone can tell me I'm not or fourteen days are up? Is this really how you want to respond to a potentially infected patient? You're incentivizing me to say, what the heck, who cares, not important, no big deal.
The fact that I cannot give 0 stars is an understatement. They do not have the bedside manner gene throughout the gastroenterology department in any form or fashion. They have MA's interpreting pathology results with is certainly illegal and not within scope of practice and 40-60 minutes is a miracle time frame to expect hearing from an actual human being but the real time frame generally runs 60-120 minutes. They provide care and communicate to their patients in a manner that mirrors that of a Third World Country. That isn't an exaggeration. I could likely fly to one and receive better care and be home with proper information and prognosis during a pandemic WITH a travel ban in place before I could even reach my physician on the phone. Please refrain from letting these people touch you.
Had to go in for a procedure I'd not been ready for at my age, but the staff was really great. Dr Justin Goodman was fantastic and really made me feel comfortable with the procedure. Anesthesiologist Lisa was very pleasant and all was great. Very nice office administration staff too, and clean place! I'd recommend for any needing what is offered at Poly!
Good experience at the Polyclinic though next time I'll take public transportation in as the parking garage is quite expensive and offers no grace period - if you are 1 minute over an hour guess what? That counts as you parking for 2 hours! I had an appointment here and was able to find the department for check-in with ease. I was called back after filling out paperwork and was seen immediately. The person at the check-in was the person I spoke with over the phone and she was friendly and helpful. The MAs and doctor I saw here were all very professional and made me feel at ease. I was really impressed with how smoothly all parts of the appointment went and recommend this location if you need to see a doc. The parking lot was small and expensive but other than that it is a good location.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process.
