List of The Polyclinic Madison Center Imaging's Reviews
The quality of patient care has been in free fall for several years - all the competent doctors have left - I've been going to the Polyclinic for over a decade - my PCP left for another job - I changed following his recommendation- my new Dr kept changing her mind about supplying me paperwork for a reasonable accommodation - she was goi g to do it- then she wasn't going to do it - I had throat cancer and apparently they feel that it had no affect on my voice - my new Dr expressed her concerns that she could have her license revoked - my husbands dr quit as well - his new doctor treated him like a drug addict for taking medication prescribed by his Dr - taking it as directed - he finally just quit taking it - which can be quite dangerous- we both changed PCP for the second time - we were told that we had to schedule an appointment with him before he would decide whether to take us on - which we did 60$ copays to say hi - my husband starts having issues getting his prescriptions refilled and they are no help whatsoever - the person in the new drs office told me they would take care of it - I also called CVS and they were taking care of it - my husband just got a ton of texts from CVS that his Dr was refusing to refill a prescription he's been taking FOR 10 YEARS - I have had issues lately where they screw up the insurance and then just charge us full price - I had anxiety and my Dr wrote me a referral for a therapist - I had the session - by the time I got home (I live less than 10 minutes away ) I had a bill in MyChart for the appointment I just had - it was about $500 - they never even bothered to submit it to my insurance and just expected payment in full - I'm sure you get by now that I am not the "suffer in silence" type As a kicker - we both got letters that our new Dr - the one we just saw for the first time less than 30 days ago was leaving - so we have to pick new PCPs FOR THE THIRD TIME IN LESS THAN A YEAR and probably have to pay a copay for the auditions - In short - no one cares - we are just an income stream - I pay over $500 a month for health insurance and they treat us like drug addicts claiming phony disabilities- now I can't change providers until next year I AM LIVID - it's weaponized incompetence - it's all starting to look like the last 10 minutes of "Titanic"
Beware - I'm giving two stars because the staff who works there are generally very good and caring. However, the management and billing department/practices are terrible. Watch everything they bill you for. They list the actual doctor on your statements and online but what they submit to insurance is different. It makes them look better for contracts but also makes you have higher copays because your insurance company doesn't know who you really saw. They also don't respond when asked for a manager to contact you about billing issues. Just beware that you will get good treatment but terrible billing.
since Optum has taken over it is almost impossible to get a hold of your doctors office. Hold times are incredibly long , I am on hold regularly for more than an hour.
Problems with neck and back. Having problems sleeping. Getting numbness in my hands. Schedulers don't seem to care, keep scheduling appointments a month out. I'm switching providers as soon as I can. They don't seem interested in providing healthcare. I went in person and was told next available appointment is a month out.
I have many medical issues flowing from kidney failure and three transplants over the past 33 years. All that to say, I have many doctors manage quite a few appointments. I am transferring all of my medical providers away from Polyclinic which is a huge hassle, but they are dropping doctors left and right and pushing out critical 3 month kidney and diabetes check ups 6 or even 8 months. Further, I encountered less than good care, malpractice or simple lack of competence from Primary Care, Ear Nose and Throat and Sleep clinic (wrong cancer diagnosis, wrong hearing diagnosis, needed surgery because of misdiagnosis). (I have had some great doctors, but each of them have left in the last month due to Polyclinic merger) You may have already jumped to my recommendation: Don't go to Polyclinic if you can avoid it. Swedish, in my opinion, has been quite good if you are looking for a medical group.
I am a retired physician using Polyclinic doctors since 2016. My primary insurance is Medicare and United is supplemental. I had excellent care by the physicians . At some time in the past I set up automated payment system "I PAYX*" to allow the clinic to charge my credit card for my copays. Things moved smoothly till the end of 2021. In 2022 Polyclinic started charging me as if I had no insurance and were using the "iPAYX*" system to charge my card. By the time I realized this travesty, Polyclinic took $1285.00 for four visits in 2022. Polyclinic also claimed that both my insurances denied these claims. This is pure fabrication! They never billed my primary insurance which is Medicare! When I called an associate at their billing office conceded that they made a mistake in billing my supplemental insurance as my primary and they will correct it. I sent them a letter with a copy to my primary care physician ( who is great, by the way). He said he is sending up the chain and I am sure he did.Nothing happened and no one contacted me. I then consulted my lawyer and he suggested that I send this info to their customer care department listed (As Everett Clinic's ). And I did so in February of this year.A week later a person responded and informed me that these claims are submitted to Medicare and finally today my credit card messaged me that that I have pending refunds from iPAYX* of Polyclinic! The total is about $200.00 less than what they took from me, but that may be towards my copayments. That is what I assume. I asked the nice person who made this happen to send me a breakdown of these charges. So: 1. If you are a patient of Polyclinic beware of this kind of billing errors ( I am being charitable here calling them errors!) especially if you are a senior on Medicare.2. Get out of the automatic payment system of"iPAYX*". It's like giving a thief your keys to your home and safe!I for one plan to move out of Polyclinic for my healthcare needs, although I am sorry to leave my wonderful physicians! If I can separately rate; the physicians get 5 stars and the Polyclinic billers get1star!
They used to be so much better - since I could not find one Dr willing to fill out Reasonable Accommodation papers - they treat everyone like drug addicts and welfare scammers - I had throat cancer - throat cancer- - I had to retire because no one was willing to go on record saying - yes his throat cancer affected his voice - my husband had a long time low dosage prescription for Xanax - they made him feel like he has scrounging for drugs by asking for a prescription refill - a prescription given by one of their long time doctors (who retired suddenly - as did mine. We are trying to chance PCPs but apparently we both have to audition for any new Dr - which generates $60 in copays before we can change - not happy at all - they prescribe these drugs then treat us like addicts - my husband had to cold Turkey quit taking prescribed medications - luckily it was not that big of a deal because he wasn't an addict - I went to a Therapist and I had to throw a fit to get them to send it to my insurance - I had a $500 invoice on my chart before I even got home from the appointment - the quality of care here as deteriorated greatly - but they are making $ so who cares ? Not them
What is going on with Polyclinic Madison? I was on hold for 50 minutes trying to get appt with Physical Medicine rang twice went silent. Called again on hold again for another 1 hour and a half. I work for the VA hospital and wait times are not like that. That is so unacceptable for patients to wait that long to make an appt. Please open up your my chart to let patients sign up for appts then instead of being on the phone for long periods of time. Livid!!!
I signed a whistleblower form and currently have the Polyclinic and Dr. Keem under investigation by the state. I've already won a case against them with the Washington state AG.Please see my previous reviews for details on my case.My surgery was covered by my insurance, but the Polyclinic held onto the payment I supplied before Premera paid them, and wouldn't reimburse me once they did. This is especially egregious because my surgery deformed and disabled me, crippling my entire family, and we needed that money for care. I called different Polyclinic support numbers dozens times over about six months, only to be told I would have a call returned later that day (which happened only once, and it was to tell me there was no news), and later that in order to recoup money I was rightfully owed by the Polyclinic, I would have to take Keem himself to court. My Premera care manager was appalled.I contacted the Washington state AG based on another reviewer's advice - the Polyclinic has a long history of wrongfully retaining patients' device & surgical fees - and they sided with me. At the last possible moment to act (the AG gives 21 days to respond) the Polyclinic sent me ~$5,000, along with a personal smear (they remarked that none of my comments were true, and that my MyChart messaging had been restricted due to conflict with administrators - this has absolutely nothing to do with me being owed almost $5,000, and denied my own money for a year and a half past my surgery date). They also said they had sent me the check previously, which is absolutely hysterical as they claimed it was during a long period of time in which I was out of the country and had all of my mail logged and held by the USPS. There's a microscopic chance it got lost in the mail, but considering the Polyclinic's long and insidious history of lying and immorality, I'm assuming it was never sent, and the lie was included to try to cover themselves in the public AG's record. The AG found my story so disturbing that he referred my case to the Department of Health and the Washington Medical Commission. My husband found this review the other day while I was sending my regular updates to the agent on my WMC case. This is literally identical to what happened to me - I've gotten a hold of this reviewer to start a class action lawsuit against Keem and maybe Medtronic as well, as they pay him on the side and he leaves his patients immediately post-op to go give lectures for them on how to perform these surgeries he does so poorly on us. I wish I was joking. The Polyclinic had the chance to stop Keem from hurting another person again, but chose to let him continue to butcher. Risk management looked me in the eyes and insisted Keem performed my surgery correctly, and they said my intra-operating imaging - which they refused to show me - proved it.In actuality, Keem skipped an entire step of my surgery according to the installation brochure from Medtronic themself. One crucial step of the Prestige LP cervical artificial disc replacement involves sanding the vertebrae down to ensure a flat surface with maximum end plate contact with the device; this was skipped in my case, and a huge amount of the anterior side of my vertebrae eroded, and Keem and risk management explained this massive loss of bone as instead disc migration perpetrated by my own body instead of criminal negligence and malpractice. (They didn't admit I'd experienced bone loss, because it blew their cover story; I had to have a team of neurosurgeons evaluate my case and figure out the extent of the damage that Keem had actually done to my spine, as Keem refused to release my pre- or intra-operative imaging for almost a year after my surgery.) I also want to come after him for fraud.Keem has a history of paralyzing patients with his surgical shortcuts. Check out this review from one of his patients in Georgia; it looks like he may have moved to escape his reputation, but didn't stop the behavior. Please choose anyone for your care except Keem. Please also beware of the litany of fake five-star reviews for his practice, which often come in suspiciously frequent and glowing clumps after he's moved, or around periods of controversy. I even found one where he forgot to refer to himself as "Dr. Keem" instead of "I" (check my reviews for him on my Yelp profile to see)! When I went digging on this man, I found a trail of failure behind him wherever he goes. The Polyclinic refused to release my records to a pain clinic so I could get care.Lastly, the Polyclinic recently axed their care management department, so they're either closing down, or planning on providing even poorer care to their most vulnerable patients. If you have been harmed by Sean Keem and the Polyclinic, please contact me. I've already been in touch with a few of his other patients, and am hoping to be the end of his practice. I won't stop until I have justice in court. We can do this, together.
Avoid! Quality of service has deteriorated drastically in all respects. After two decades of driving out of our way just to see Polyclinic physicians in a convenient, efficient, and friendly setting, our family members now find ourselves with no choice but to take our business elsewhere.
