List of Usa Vein Clinics's Reviews
I don't want to give Dr. Cahn a bad review because he is great. It's the system the clinic uses to book their appointments. 3 appointments ago I show up for my appointment (early) and was told right away by Dr. Cahn they were overbooked with a sincere apology and asked me if I'd reschedule for the following week. I had NO problem with this as I was acknowledged and the issue was brought up to me right away. I rescheduled for the following week, show up and the technician is out sick. I got text reminder after text reminder plus voice-mail after voice-mail (borderline harassment) of the appointment reminder. Again, not Dr. Cahns' fault. So once again I leave. That time I just told him I'm really busy and I'll reschedule when I have more time. There are no issues I should say with booking appointments! They take too many. This is the issue. I made an appointment last week for today. I show up early as I always do. My appointment time is 9:24. The technician tells me to have a seat before I check in..so I do so.... Dr. Cahn comes out shortly after and has me sign in. 30 min. later close to 10 a.m. the technician has been helping another patient get checked in and is bringing her back I politely catch her and ask, what time approx. she thought I might be seen. She says, it will be at least 30-40 min as she's the only technician and reiterates she's about to take this patient back. She tells me then that this is normal to wait this length of time and if I didn't want to wait that long I should come when they open at 8. I wasn't rude to her. I gave no attitude. I just said ok, and told her I wasn't going to wait. I gave no explanation as clearly I can see she is busy and annoyed with me. There was no point or ever is to being rude in my opinion so I just left. She kind of smirked. Again, I wasn't rude to her so I'm not sure why she seemed annoyed with me. I just didn't care to waste my morning waiting. When they send the text and voice-mail reminders their automated system should also notify people that their policy so to speak is a 30-40 min wait time after checking in. The check in seems to be key. I'm not sure why the technician was having me hold off on checking in when I arrived... so my question is this, what is the point of an appointment time? Question mark. Question mark. Question mark.
I have been a patient here over a 3 month period and I couldn't be happier or more satisfied with the care and results.Dr Cahn and ultrasound tech Allysya were great.Having been in the medical field for many years I may have a more accurate perspective as to level of expertise and professionalism. (Not that I know everything but know excellence when I see it!Thank you both for your great workDiane Hill
I purchased the Groupon for USA Vein Clinics sclerotherapy (4 injections). First of all the wording is confusing. I was thinking I would go for four visits, but what you are paying for is 4 syringes of the product all used at that one visit. So, if you don’t need 4 then you just paid for extra because you don’t get to go back and use the unused/unnecessary product at a later date. The cost is pretty great though for either service, but just thought it was worth mentioning. The women who work in the office have thick, Eastern European accents and are not the most warm and friendly and the office is not inviting or updated. They do an ultrasound on your legs whether you want it or not and you stand on these homemade plywood boxes with cheap bathroom rugs lining the top of them. The doctor was wonderful, quick and efficient with a great bedside manner. I highly recommend him, but his nurse was very irritated with the compression stockings I brought in and scolded me (yes, and I’m 41) for not having stockings with more compression and then further stating how pointless the service is when you don’t have the proper after care. This tirade was AFTER I told her I have a better pair at home that I wasn’t able to locate before my appointment time but WOULD be finding and wearing them as soon as I returned home. There is a proper way to let someone know the benefits of the after care of a procedure like this but as a grown woman I do not appreciate being berated by another grown woman.
I love this clinic! Dr. Cahn is great, and the receptionists are absolute sweethearts. I've been there for three appointments so far and am very happy with my experiences there. I work at an ultrasound company so it was cool to see ultrasounds of my leg veins. I've had two treatments so far and my initial exam. It hurt a lot more than I expected after the procedures, but I guess getting giant leg veins lasered just isn't pleasant. Apparently getting smaller veins and the spider veins fixed is a lot easier, so my next appointments should have faster recovery times. My legs have some pretty bad varicose veins, and I've battled with them for over ten years. I'm looking forward to not having painful swelling and bruising. Apparently I also have leaky valves. Eww. The staff was helpful with my insurance, apparently the insurance companies don't like to cover things like this, which is confusing to me because it's clearly a problem beyond vanity. I read some of the reviews of people complaining about the office and don't really understand them. The ultrasound machine used on me was quality, and everything seems very clean. They have comfy chairs in the room you get dressed in, and while the carpeted steps you stand on while you're getting the ultrasound seem a bit hokey they were definitely stable, and they had wall mounted bars to hold onto so you don't fall off. Being an awkward person I appreciated that. The only annoying thing is that the company calls me repeatedly before each appointment from some remote location, and I have to go to a series of appointments, and so I get called almost every day. They text me too. This is going to go on for over a month and a half before I'm done. It's really frustrating. It's not the people who work there, it's part of the parent company.
I went to the clinic which is close to where I live with a specific vein issue I got on their path that they take people through and because my insurance is going to cover, I thought I'd go ahead and do it. The Doctor, who is the one good thing in the place, told me that it probably wouldn't help my problem but this is what they do. I don't know how he got stuck in such a clinic which is filthy; the furniture is low end and Goodwill quality. And by that I mean the stuff that goodwill puts in the alley. I don't think it's ever been vacuumed. You stand up on pet steps and they put a machine on you that is supposed to be an ultrasound and at the end of this the woman makes all kinds of drawings on the sketch of legs I honestly think that there is no ultrasound and it's just part of their routine and then you sign something that says you've worn stockings for years to get your insurance to approve this deal and I've never heard of anybody whose spider veins have left or have left for good. I think it's just a big medical scam with the only medical knowledge being the very nice Doctor who is stuck in a bad place for some reason. I suggest you close this app and go to a reputable place like U W Medical Center, Virginia Mason or something like that. Don't waste your money or your time two stars is very generous all of that goes to the doctor.
As a new patient, I booked an appointment at USA Vein Clinic and was dissatisfied with their service. I had the same experience from the previous reviewers of customers, lucky they even get one star from me. The receptionist was Russian and was not very friendly. Don't bother even asking her a question she will respond in a cold way and she will most likely try to argue with you. She's right and your wrong, do you want the service or not, mind as well just walk out the door. When I called the clinic asking them if I can purchase the coupon on line and use it for my first visit, as it states "NEW CUSTOMERS." The receptionist did not allow me to use the Groupon coupon because I already made an appointment but haven't even came into the clinic yet. It was like I was suppose to purchase the coupon first before even calling the clinic to make an appointment. But I haven't even been seen yet. The receptionist gave me another option of using my insurance and it should be covered... only they charge the insurance 3 times as much and of course it wasn't covered. After you book an appointment with USA Vein Clinic, you will receive a phone call almost every day informing you of your appointment. And the day of the appointment, they will bug you again and again to confirm that you are actually coming into the clinic. "I really got it, seriously." No matter if you confirm the appointment or not, you will get annoyed of all their phone calls. Be aware of all the services they are doing and the charges. I came in because I wanted to get my left leg checked out due to vein issues. The MA told me that I will not be charged for bilateral ultrasound as I stated that it was not necessary to do an ultrasound on my right leg as it was fine. He informed me that the doctor wanted to compare both legs and would give him a better image. FALSE... I was charged for bilateral $590. Once I saw the doctor, he didn't even bother to look at my left leg. He asked me if I wore stockings and I said yes for a year now. He said that insurance wants to see if you have been wearing stockings for more than a year, for insurance to cover the cost. He stated that according to the ultrasound scan I don't see the symptoms that you have and there was nothing he was able to do. WHAT?? The doctor denied my symptoms. I will not be coming here ever again and do not recommend this place to anyone who has vein issues. Go to some one who cares about your legs and will treat you with respect. READ... READ... reviews before picking a clinic of your choice. I've learned my lesson. OH, I've received my bill in the mail after 4 months.
I booked an appointment at USA Vein Clinic at Northgate in December 2017, using a Groupon. The receptionist seems to be Russian and is very matter-of-fact and cold, she didn't appreciate questions. The procedure was done by Doctor Khan but they had a fill-in person doing the pre-treatment exam. I found the procedure quite painful and was crying out. I consider myself a tough cookie I had a natural childbirth with no drugs. Lol When it came time to pay I got a lot of bad news. They have no credit card machine. The receptionist had to call someone speaking in Russian to make the payment which was very sketchy, and something I've never experienced before. The other bad news was they wouldn't take all of my Groupons. They said I would have to reach Groupon to get a refund and of course Groupon said there was no refund unless it was authorized by USA Vein Clinic. The bottom line is I spend about $379 for a treatment that didn't work, was rather painful, oh and I bought their full length compression leggings for $60. I walked out with no receipts. I followed the instructions exactly, I even continued to wear the compression socks after the suggested time, I just to be sure. I have called USA Vein Clinics and complain about the ineffective treatment.
These people are really pros. The nurses, technicians, and doctors really took the time to listen to me. Their care and their technique made me feel wonderful physically. They cared for as a person.
I thought I was too young to have vein problems but my legs hurt all of the time. The pain became so bad I had to get help just to function. USA Vein Clinics found the cause of my problems on the first visit. I feel normal again.
The most difficult part about the job is lack of communication between fellow employees. Working through finding effective ways is the most enjoyable part, for it give me, as well as everyone in the clinic, the time to utilize their skills and deliver excellent care to the patient.
