List of Uw Medical Center - Montlake | Seattle Hospital's Reviews
They were awesome!!! I’ve never had a bad experience at the UW or affiliated hospitals. All my experiences have been excellent. The Doctors, nurses & staff are great. If I had a choice I would go nowhere else.
Note: This is directed at the phone system and some poor communication. UW's overall phone system is THE worst. I had to go through that stupid phone system, three transfers, and about 25 minutes of calls just to confirm my updated infusion time. Communication is poor, the actual 206 number gets masked by a 425 number, and round and round we go. 1. UW...*stop* MASKING numbers. No one likes fighting through your stupid, crappy phone system just to reach a care team or get time-sensitive info. 2. Do NOT transfer a call to your outsourced call center WHEN THE CENTER WE'RE CALLING IS STILL OPEN. Stop that!!! 3. You aren't helping patients with your faulty system. You cause too much friction to get with our care team. You are doing more harm than good with your system. And it is VERY stressful on us. 4. ALWAYS have someone to answer a direct call. *ALWAYS!!!!* I've dealt with this incompetent phone system for almost 10 years now. Bonus tip: Communicate BETTER, return calls and messages the same DAY if we call at a reasonable time...and understand that infusion patients that need a monthly dose of Belatacept WILL stress out if you don't return a call on Thursday by at LEAST Friday; especially if they had to skip a treatment because of the shingles. Do BETTER!!!!!!!!
Geez, where do I start? A lot depends on what side of the hospital you get put in. I was on the old side and old is putting it nicely (think ancient) not old. The nurses, every single one of them, were top-notch not one complaint. The lab technicians now that’s another story. The lab techs come and draw your blood at 5 AM every day; some are better than others. I’m a hard stick and I said to the guy I need to make sure someone senior does it, an expert. They’ve told me to say that. He said I am an expert, I said yeah that’s what they all say look at my arms. I really need an expert. After that, he got really pissy and nasty with me and walked out the door. I could hear him in the hall complaining about me; just so everyone knows, you can decline labs and you can say I want an expert, senior person, to draw because I’m a hard stick. Other than that, mostly positive interactions with everybody, the food was actually surprisingly good, and they’re very liberal with visiting hours. But the shining starts here are really the nurses.
Worst hospital ever. The doctors are incompetent and disturbed. They obviously don't care if their patients live or die. They really made it a horrible experience. Also, they said they would reserve a bed for us in the emergency room, but then we had to wait for 5 hours in the hallway. Then, when a room was available, the heater was broken and they couldn't fix it. Also, the toilet in the bathroom didn't work. The nurses were rude and the food waa awful.
Avoid this place at all the cost. Slow, incompetent terrible service. It was like if Comcast was running a medical service company. Absolutely terrible
Excellent care from start to finish! The attentive care by doctors, nurses, and other staff was friendly. My husband, the patient, said he felt like a king! That's high compliment from him! The cafeteria dinner I'm had was delicious: curry chickpea stew, rice, steamed broccoli, choice of fresh fruit, bottled water or canned bubbly something: $6.99. Seriously the food and service was great. The surgery pre-op, post-op and overnight care waste clearly and frequently communicated to me, the waiting spouse. Top quality. So glad our doctor is a member of the UW group.
The otolaryngology team led by Dr. Merati are pretty great! We have appreciated their skill, collaborative practice and their kindness. Top flight care. We are grateful.
The staff at this hospital are second to none I couldn’t ask for better care or do any better myself with years of training
The ER side the front desk & security were nice and chill. Went for my friend and got my visitors pass. She went in the back and was told I can go in once I have the pass, unfortunately things got pretty weird & I’ve noticed they weren’t letting me in the back but was letting all the white women in the back & when I asked about heading to the back because I also had to give my seat up in the waiting room and had to stand out side in the cold , I still wasn’t offered to go to the back & I had my pass but once again they were letting all the white ppl go I was super confused called my friend and she was assigned a nurse & security lied saying she wasn’t but I was on the phone with them . And they both were pretty big in a non healthy and started laughing I was also confused because I’m a New Yorker when someone just randomly laugh for no reason is a sign of disrespect I was confused because they to big to be disrespectful and should worrying about their health before they try to be funny as security especially lol As Puerto Rican I know there’s barely any of us out here I’ve noticed a lot of racism and discrimination in this state because of being PR and beautiful different looking and I felt like that was happening yesterday because they lied one. Two they’re weren’t letting me in but let all the white ppl & then when I questioned them about they wanna laugh lol I laughed but it’s because I’m a PT and I love when big ppl wanna be rude it’s funny shows a lot about their self esteem which is very low! Security from yesterday 1/28/26 around 3pm/4pm if you see this especially the women with the glasses let me help ya out! So next time ya wanna be rude it’s actually funny but I was really worried about ya health because that’s what’s maybe causing the rudeness and laughing for no reason like if ya funny or something!! Just saying lol
I went to visit my nephew who had open heart surgery. No place to park; I had to walk about a mile. No one knew where the cardiac clinic was. The person at the main desk couldn't find him on the computer. I gave up and drove home.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
