List of Vinita Seru's Reviews
Amazing doctor, has been just such an unbelievable experience.
We have seen Dr. Seru for over 20 years with both of our daughters. We love her dearly for the excellent care she gives and for the way she treats her patients and their parents (me! and my husband!). We trust her implicitly and without reservation. Dr. Seru's patients are our girls, not us, though she takes us (and family and environment) into account, too. Dr. Seru tends the whole child, not just the complaint currently presenting, and she KNOWS our girls and us and us as a family because she's asked us all lots of questions and has listened to our answers. Dr. Seru has always offered our girls and us extensive education and information and has always been attentive to necessary follow-up. She has been attuned to our emotional states and has offered reassurance to all of us, as needed, given whatever brought us to her that day. We value the fact that Dr. Seru addresses our daughters directly, and that she expects them to answer her. How else can she determine what ails them? We parents may offer more details or ask about *our* concerns, and Dr. Seru will respond in full to us, but Dr. Seru's primary concern is always her patients - our daughters (as it should be). Dr. Seru has shown great respect to our daughters and to us. She has also gone above & beyond many, many times for us - she's called us after hours to do follow up or report lab results, she's consulted with her colleagues for their opinions when the situation warranted it, she's seen our kids in hospital, and she's seen them alone for portions of their exams since they were 13 so they could discuss personal matters without we parents in attendance. We very much appreciate Dr. Seru expressing her views, especially when they differ from ours, even if it isn't always easy to hear. We don't always see our kids as clearly as someone outside the family, yet intimately close to our family can see them. She's had great insights and has helped us "see the light" more than once. She's been a superlative care-giver and a staunch supporter of our girls and their well-being, and I cannot recommend her highly enough!
I absolutely love Dr. Seru but the complete incompetence of her front desk staff will have us leaving her services. This makes me and our kids very sad as we have seen her for4 years but for the last 2 years now they have lost appointments that we set up months in advance or canceled critical appointments to reschedule 3-6 months later (with new born weight, vaccine checkups, or timed needs for care can be a bigger deal then they care to realize/acknowlegde). If it was a first time offence or even a second time it could be overlooked but not with almost every single appointment the past two years. Again, Dr. Seru is wonderful but the chances of actually seeing her (at least with anything to do with the front desk staff) is iffy at best.
She is knowledgeable and good at sharing what she knows with both parents and her patients (children and adolescents). She listens and answers our questions and concerns. She tells us what we might not know or know to ask about but need to know to make good decisions. She goes above and beyond, comes in early and stays late to serve her patients.
Vinita Seru is not my children's regular doctor however we had to make a last minute appointment due to medical concerns. From the get go, I was highly unsatisfied with level of care. My daughter was asked to give a urine sample and Dr. Seru looked at my daughter and said, "you have to hurry and pee. I have other patients to see today." My daughter then got an uncomfortable look on her face. I then grew a tad upset for my daughter. And as parents, we know you can't force a child to use the restroom when they feel they can't go. I mentioned how I understand she has other patients but my daughter was her patient then. Needless to say, things went south from there. The doctor was not even able to stay focused on the reasons we were there. She kept drifting from my concern and went into irrelevant matters that I was not there to discuss. Personal matters I do not wish to address here. She asked me questions such as if I have a job, where I work, if the dad was involved. When I didn't feel like answering the questions regarding where I work and if the dad was involved, this doctor told me I must answer her questions for social stats. I told her that her questions were irrelevant to my reason for being there. The doctor then continued on lecturing and belittling and even told me that patients such as myself can be yanked as patients and not seen again since their office has that right. I thought for what!?! Because I mentioned my daughters concern was my concern and I wanted to focus on that instead of personal questions this doctor decided to ask me half way into the appointment. The doctor had the nerve to call me a liar basically with past medical issues such as grand mal seizures...constantly questioning on my concerns and arguing with why I was there then always going back to the irrelevant personal and not medical concern regarding my daughter. The issue the doctor kept going back to was bullying. My daughters face said she didn't want to talk about it. When the doctor asked my daughter again to tell her about bullying, I waited twenty seconds in watching tear up and start to squirm before I jumped in then I looked at my daughter and said calmly, "honey, you don't have to talk if you don't want to." This doctor then said in an angry and demanding tone, "yes she does! You are interfering w my questioning." Our visit ended wth the doctor looking at me and saying, "you are being mean to your daughter. You can be mean to me but being mean to your daughter is unacceptable." Then she looked at my daughter and said,"your mother is not a good mother." I then stood up next to the doctor and said "excuse me!?!" I was highly taken back by this as this was completely uncalled for. My daughter was shocked and repeated to the nurse what the doctor said to her. Appalled at this doctors behavior. And it was all started with when I mentioned that my daughter is her patient first.... Seru is an unprofessional and biased doctor. Her opinion of me was completely uncalled for and disgusts me as a person. My daughter does not need to hear such lies about her mother! When the doctor was leaving, I asked what her name was as I informed her I was filing a complaint and she said, "oh, you don't even know the name of your child's doctor? Hm." Then she said her name and spelled it for me. Another uncalled for moment from this so called doctor. Both my daughter and I were there for medical reasons. I should feel comfortable in discussing medical issues and not feel I need to battle as to why. She is not a doctor. Her actions are not doctor material. I left in tears for how she was as I have never been treated in such a manner. Enough said.
Truly awesome Doctor. The kids all loved her as well as us Parents
Dr. Seru has been my son's pediatrician since he was born 8 years ago. I only have best to say about her. She is excellent doctor, very personable, kind and absolutely GREAT with children. Perfect profession mathced with her. She has always provided excellent care to my son, and I wish my son would stay little forever, so she can be his doctor :). Dr. Seru is very caring; she will address child's overall well being. What a thoughtfull human being. I would hate to move away (if I had to), as I would like to bring Dr. Seru anywhere we go. Thank you Dr. Seru for excellence in care. Keep that great job going.
Dr. Seru has been the doctor of our three children since our first was born 10 years ago. We think she is the best pediatrician in the area. We drive from Kirkland for all three kids to continue to go to Vinita. Recently my 18 month was in the hospital and she visited twice and directed care superbly. She was also instrumental in noticing developmental delays in one of my children before anyone else did. He was later diagnosed. I cannot stress enough wonderful Vinita is both as a doctor, and a person.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
