I have been a patient of Dr. Gabriel's for quite a number of years now. Even though he always has a waiting room full of patients; he has always listened to my questions and concerns. He is patient, thorough, compassionate and caring. I feel very fortunate to have him as my health care professional.

Always is a hurry and does not take time with his patients. He is a terrible listener. I really think he could care less about his patients. I am looking for another doctor.

Could care less about his patients. Will switch you off to a PA when he feels that you might take too long. Only interested in how many patients he can see in a day. Terrible listener.

absolutely wonderful!!......his expertise, his charisma, I respect those who look straight in your eyes while talking to you.....your soul is exposed. Doesn't listen to patients even when patients tell him what the medical literature stays is the problem. Felt his major concern is to keep costs down for the insurance provider. Treats patients like an assembly line---so you have something past the flu bug, poison ivy, wellness checks etc---------don't expect him to spend the time thinking about it.

I have been extremely pleased with the SC Internal Medicine facility. Dr. Joseph Gabriel and all the staff I have had any contact with are always quick, knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. I have been under Dr. Gavbriel's medical care for several years now and have complete confidence in his medical and health care advice. I highly recommend him and all the staff at SCIM to anyone seeking quality professional medical care.

Been with Dr. Gabriel since 2002; I'm over 60 and been to doctors all over the USA; I rate Dr. Gabriel tops with knowledge, care, and bedside manner. He's always punctual, and his nurse Sheila is also a wonderful and knowledgeable nurse. They take time to answer questions and in an adult and non-condescending manner. I feel lucky to have found them! The overall atmosphere of the office and other staff members' attitudes are professional and gracious.

Dr. Gabriel is the worst doctor I've ever had. He's always in a rush. He basically does nothing. I was having dizzy spells and when I went to see Dr. Gabriel he had his nurse clean my ears out, that's it! Didn't take my blood pressure (dizziness could be low or high blood pressure), didn't give me a blood test (maybe I was anemic), just explained to me briefly that it could be my sinuses or something related to that. Also, another time I had to diagnose myself because he said I was perfectly healthy even though my calcium was way out of range. I ended up going on the internet, diagnosing myself and finding a doctor without any of his help. I had an operation and now I'm cured thanks to ME not lame 'ol Gabriel! He brushes everything off like it's nothing and just wants you out of there so he could move on to his next patient.

Dr. Gabriel is one of the best physicians I have been to in years. I have several medical issues and I require a lot of attention. After I was diagnosed with diabetes, Dr. Gabriel set me up with his NP Carlotta Davis for diabetic counseling. I read the previous reviews and I can see how some people may be turned off by her direct medical approach but I think she's brilliant and she was obviously concerned with may situation. Dr. Gabriel and Carlotta are both very kind and very good at what they do! The nurses have always been very helpful too. They always seem to be smiling and I think that says a lot about the atmosphere there. I see Dr. Gabriel every few months so he can stay current with my issues so I'm in their office a alot. SC Internal Medicine is very professional and their staff is wonderful.

Been with Dr Gabriel for about 9 years. Found him to be knowledgeable and up to date. Will talk to you on an informed basis if you are literate and try to understand your problems through internet research. Will reply to email questions.He is very busy but takes extra time if you need it, within reason.
