Visit is too long. Over an hour, and I spent most of the time waiting. I was forced to get images of my eyes, even though I didn't want too , the last 2 years nothing new has been reported to me from having those images done. He says they're important to monitor cataracts and glacoma. I don't see imaging being helpful when he tells me I have healthy eyes even before doing images. Its a waste of time and then I hear he don't bill for them because insurance won't pay for them unless it's a absolute must. And the time I spent waiting, I observed the way he speaks to his employees, no wonder there's so much turn around, he's a it's my way or the high way kind of person. Plus he talks to much, once he got into the exam room it was almost a 10 min "conversation" that he was basically having with himself, bragging about going to China or some other vacation place so many years ago. The man needs to retire already.

I went to Miami to have eye surgery. Dr Thompson office refused to forward my records to Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami; he was cited for this by Medicare. After he called my doctor in Miami, Dr Anna Junk, one of the best eye surgeons in the world practicing at Bascom Palmer, Dr Thompson said that he questioned Dr Junk and, that she did not know what she was doing and was inexperienced. Dr Thompson urged me to return to Sequim and have surgery with a doctor he knew; I did. During my eye surgery the doctor who Dr Thompson referred me to, lacerated my eye with his surgical instrument, this was confirmed by three different eye doctors after my surgery. Dr Thompson unaware of my visit to the other eye doctors, told me the eye drops used during surgery caused the laceration, Dr Thompson knew this was false. After contacting State health officials and then confronting the surgeon, the surgeon admitted causing the laceration while performing surgery. Dr Thompson intentionally misled me.

Dr. Thompson is caring, professional, and extremely knowledgeable. He communicates issues or concerns in a compassionate clear manner. He is very thorough in his examinations and assessments. His staff are courteous and efficient. Appointments are always on time and the quality of the service is excellent! Thanks kindly, Dr. Thompson!

Dr. Thompson is the finest eye doctor my wife and I have ever seen. He is very kind, gracious and knowledgeable... the consummate professional. Unfortunately, he only works three days a week, but is worth the wait.

I was very pleased with the excellent care this Doctor provided. This was the best most thorough eye exam I have ever had. I highly recommend him.

Office staff was friendly. I felt comfortable asking the Doctor questions and received answers to all my concerns. Overall pleasant experience...if I HAVE to have my eyes dilated.

What an ordeal it is to spend time with this doctor - his communication with patients is canned and rather juvenile; his politics and religion are very obvious in the office and always on the verge of intruding into the consultation. When surgery was needed made a strong recommendation to see one surgeon only - couldn't help but wonder what that was about.

I purchased glasses and then later contacts from his office per his recommendation for my daughter when she didn't need them at all. She sees almost 20/20. My other daughter had a eyelid infection that lasted almost a year and despite discussing it with him several times, he kept recommending warm water scrubs. I took her to another Dr and he prescribed ointments that cleared it up within a few days. His office staff are disorganized and kept messing up the billing. We were his patients for over 5 years but I've had enough.

My old glasses were great. I can't see with his new ones. I told him, he told me I didn't know what I was talking about. I went to another Dr and I see very well now. I won't go back.
