Dr. McLennan was my OB for both of my two children. She was awesome! Caring, helpful, ad even funny :) she's just a really cool doctor. Even though we're not having anymore kids I'll definitely still use her for my gynecologist because I know and trust her.

Dr. McLennan is an amazing doctor, she had spot-on instincts every step of the way of what turned out to be a high-risk pregnancy. The only people who will complain about Dr. McClennan are people whose ego is more important than their life, or the life of their baby. She's going to tell you exactly what she thinks, she's not going to blow sunshine up your butt, she's going to call you out for bad behavior and poor judgement, and she's going to do everything she can to make sure your baby is healthy and survives. She's not going to tell you everything is fine if it isn't, which is a surprisingly rare quality.If you want to come out of an appointment feeling pampered, go to a spa. If you want the best care and outcome for you and your child, see Dr. McClennan.

I have been Dr McLennan's patient since my first pregnancy, early 2007. She has been in my family’s life since then, delivered my both divas... we all love her and trust her and have recommended her to others. Let me tell you, I did live in Phoenix for 3 years and was pleased to fly to Seattle to see her. Why? Because she is fantastic!!! My top doc!

Although we live in Mt. Baker, we chose to drive the extra miles to deliver both of our babies at Swedish in Ballard. The hospital itself is so much smaller and I feel that I received care from midwives, doctors, and nurses that was more personal.My first child was delivered with the midwives and we encountered many complications during birth and the first few weeks of life, as well as long term physical effects on myself. For my second child, I decided to go with Dr. McLennan because I had met her at the end of my first labor and was impressed. She was also highly recommended by our doula. I made the right decision!Dr. MCLennan is upfront and extremely knowledgeable. The complications I encountered with my first pregnancy and birth were completely avoided in my second, because of her. She makes the right decision at the right time. I was so relieved that the birth process went well this second time around. It was an amazing experience and my one week old is continuing to thrive because she had a great beginning to life outside the womb.I see some negative reviews about bedside manner. In my opinion, Dr. MCLennan does have a straightforward approach. Because of this, she will ensure that you and your baby are healthy during pregnancy and delivery. That is her goal. After experiencing difficulties with my first pregnancy and delivery, health of baby and mom is what matters most!

I cannot begin to say enough positive things about Dr. Dori McLennan. My partner and I began working with her in the spring of 2015 when we began our fertility journey. We chose to work with Dr. McLennan after she came highly recommended to us. Not only had she come highly recommended but she has also been awarded one of Seattle's best doctors multiple times in the past many years. Dr. McLennan brings a wealth of experience to the table. We found her to be thoughtful and knowledgable , always on top of our needs.Towards the end of my third trimester of pregnancy I was diagnosed with a condition that required I deliver via c-section at 37 weeks. Dr. McLennan was so on it and delivered our happy, healthy baby girl despite my complications. Now, only 3 weeks later I am healing beautifully.We will be excited to continue to work with Dr. McLennan and the exceptional nurses and staff at Ballard OBGYN.

Dr McLennan is amazing. I live in West Seattle but continue to make the drive just to see her. She is honest and caring and extremely knowledgable about women's health. She has provided me relevant solutions to the problems we discuss and doesn't just skip to prescribing medicine to solve everything. Every time I have seen her, she remembers me, checks in on the things we talked about at the last visit and is 100% present the whole time we talk. She is blunt but I think for someone my age, it is refreshing to have someone that gets to the point and doesn't sweet talk around the reason you go to the dr in the first place.

Dr. McLennan has the worst bedside manner of any doctor I've ever encountered. She routinely spits back venomous and condescending comments when my wife and I go in for our checkups. Every time I ask a question and attempt to take part in a constructive conversation on the health of my wife and impending child, Dr. McLennan belittles me and intentionally excludes me from being part of the equation for my family's future. In the case of spouses/significant others, It is very clear that Dr. McLennan emphatically hates men. Yelling, making crassly-worded or snide comments, rolling her eyes, or flat-out ignoring you is something to be prepared for when going into the office with your wife or partner.The engagement that Dr. McLennan has with my wife is hardly any different. With each visit, we come away feeling belittled or stupid for attempting to lean on our 'doctor' for what we feel are invaluable insights to navigating the pregnancy journey. Given how late we are now in the pregnancy (37 weeks), we feel isolated and backed into a corner without any other options.See this doctor at your own risk. If you want to come away feeling like less of a person after each visit, then "Dr. Dorie" is the right person for you.

Dr. Mclennan is an above board professional who will always tell you like it is. I started seeing Dr. Mclennan when I first got married, as I knew we wanted to have children. She was wonderful as my OB! Then I found out I was pregnant and she was informative and supportive the whole way through. She supported my wishes to have a natural childbirth with no pain meds and as little intervention as possible. Although an on call doctor delivered my baby (the birth wasn't pre-scheduled) :-), Dr. McLennan made a point to visit us within 24 hours of our Baby girl's arrival! I highly recommend Dr. McLennan because while she isn't warm and fuzzy, she is highly intelligent and helped guide me through making the best choices for me and my pregnancy/delivery!
