Keren Yang's Online Review Report Card

I have been a patient of Dr. Yang for 8 years. She is a very qualified physician. Sure there are times she is in a hurry. And sometimes you don't want to hear what she says. Most of the time 99% she is correct in the eye disease and Vision corrections she counsels me about. But I have never had an occasion where she is wrong. She hasn't hesitated to send me to the UW Eye Institute for a second opinion and sure enough they agreed with her. So all you people who have not been a patient should just go find yourself a doctor that will agree with you from your internet diagnosis and your own opinions.

The nurse was great - nice, attentive, helpful. Then I saw Dr. Yang and felt disrespected and ignored. After briefly looking at my eyes, she began to leave the room without allowing me to ask questions. I asked her a question as she walked out and instead of stopping to listen, she scoffed at my question as if I was a hypochondriac (I haven’t been to an eye doctor since 2009 so that certainly isn’t the case). Instead of answering my question she told me she looked at my eyes and they are fine, all while continuing to leave the room. She then quickly asked an unrelated question to keep me from asking further questions. I should have stood up for myself but I was so thrown off by her attitude and the fact that she was leaving the room while I was still trying to get answers for my unexplained eye pain. I know doctors are busy, but this is inexcusable. I want to go elsewhere for another opinion, but I just got a bill for over $250 for that joke of an eye exam.

I don't understand the negative comments but I'm sure they have their own experiences.. Mine was completely different. She listened, was easy to talk to, understood my concerns, and I never felt rushed. Would highly recommend.

I’m very thankful my primary care physician, Dr.Fleischman referred me to Dr.Yang. I had been seeing a different eye doctor at a local eye and laser clinic. I received the incorrect prescription 3 or 4 times in a row! It’s very frustrating to ask for your regular eye doctor the person you insist on seeing and have someone else come in who constantly gives you the wrong prescription. I haven’t been able to see for approximately 5 years! Luckily Dr.Yang gave me the perfect prescription. The wait was minimal and she did everything I needed acutely and efficiently. The right prescription makes me feel like my vision is near perfect with the correction. The time with her felt a bit rushed , however she allowed time for questions and I can’t argue with the results. I’m grateful to her and her staff and will gladly be returning for my yearly check up.

You’ll get about three seconds of her time for an exam. Rushed into the room and acted like she couldn’t wait to get back out. Doesn’t bother to explain anything. Worst experience ever for an eye exam. Don’t waste your time at this place.

I left my appointment so happy because everyone from the front desk, assistant and Dr. Yang were so very nice. I had to drive 1.5 hours to get to my appointment so I was a little frazzled when I arrived but Everyone put me at ease. Dr. Yang sat and explained my situation very clearly to me and put me on the right path so I could see better. I LOVE this doctor. She is kind, and very caring. I highly recommend her.

Staff unfriendly. Repeatedly asked why need appt, ignored written paperwork & PCP referral, questioned whether I had "actual diag" of specific disease (diag by tests of many years by other specialists), blatantly pretended to misunderstand what I said, made it obvious they did NOT think I needed an eye exam after several years of none, plus many health & eye issues. Tech did 2 basic tests. Dr Yang came in for 30secs, refused further exams & just rude. Stood OUTSIDE of open doorway, kept trying to WALK AWAY after claiming "SKIN around eyes looks fine, you dont have any problems, so no need for ophtho referral." (admits did NOT do further MEDICAL tests for eye disease or deterioration). Claims optho Dr there CANT do any further med diag tests, so pay out of pocket & go to UW Seattle IF I WANT. Claimed sig eye problems, deteriorated vision in all areas, partial blindness & constant pain "100% due to 5yo glasses Rx" - tho problems started WAY before & exist with glasses or not. Denied seeing any evidence of eye problems several previous OPHTHO Dr.s have seen for last 25yrs of my life (then admitted didn't look). Said nothing she could do for ANY eye problems, even minor, nor refer to their ophtho. AWFUL.

The only reason Dr. Yang got 2 stars was because she was actually a kid friendly Doctor. But ... when she tells me that my g-daughter doesn’t have a rare eye disease that runs in my family WITHOUT actually doing the proper check up, why would I have trust in her words, without an actually evaluation? And the way the doctor justified it was, from all the data I collected she’s got perfect vision . Yet my g-daughter sees rainbows around lights and her vision goes blurry within 3 seconds and both eyes. Don’t waste your time or child’s eye care by seeing the above Doctor. My 2 cents.
