List of Pankaj Sharma's Reviews
He kept me on antibiotics, apparently when the latest research said that antibiotics caused more harm when a patient has C-def. Continually taking antibiotics is painful, and did more harm, when I was told by him I needed to take 6 more weeks of antibiotics, I realized he either does not keep up with current medical research or he only wanted to continue making more money from my insurance, he is a arrogant man, treats women with disrespect, came to see me in the hospital when I wasn't a his patient, as I wasn't in the hospital for gastrointestinal problems, he was dressed causually, my feeling was he only wanted to stop in to charge my insurance for a Dr. Visit. Finally found a gastrointestinterist who sliced the problem. Probably best to find another doctor, if you want your health problems resolved.
I am so very disappointed and discouraged by the lack of empathy, treatment in general, and overall attitude of this "doctor". My wife's ulcerative colitis has had a horrible flare for the last month and Sharma did next to nothing to help her. When we finally were able to get in to see a fantastic doctor in Tacoma, they were shocked at the level of non-treatment and inability to help calm her symptoms. His basic approach was to 'just get through it'. She is under the care of a great doctor now.
15 Years ago Dr. Sharma saved my life and for that I will be forever grateful. My Esophagus exploded and required his caring/professional touch. After a very delicate procedure performed by a skilled Physician I was able to leave the hospital. Dr. Sharma is a truly good and caring friend. My personnel GP Dr. Gross had told my Wife that I would not be leaving the hospital alive, Dr. Sharma and I thought differently.
Beware of this doctor! He does not read the patient file, tried to send me for the same lab tests twice and didn't look at my medical history. He will ask you a question and then cut you off. He doesn't keep to his schedule keeping his patients waiting past their appointment time. On two occasions I waited over 2 hours . After his consultation I met with other doctors who told me he is known in the GI community for his incompetence, shoddy medical diagnosis, and inattention patient med history.
Had a bleedi g ulcer saw the Dr. In the hospital between him and his partner had five endoscopic treatment in 12 days and they stopped the bleeding so they did not have to do surgery which was a risky one and glad for that
DO NOT use this doctor for any procedures!!!! I had gone in for a colonoscopy which turned into a total nightmare. I should have suspected something when he was an hour and a half late getting started with the procedure. I was given a couple different injections to put me under for the procedure which didn't work. The doctor went ahead anyway with the procedure knowing fully well I was awake. It was pure torture and one of the most painful experiences I've yet to experience.
Was the best, I have had two other colonoscpis. Very professional, highly recommend.
Concise and to the point, does his job very well.
He doesn't do a good job listening to the patents; his bedside manner is very brusque and coarse. As can happen with any doctor who performs surgery, you may find waits up to 2 hours without any office notification. (happened twice to me...) Very friendly staff, but it doesn't make up for the doctor or the feeling I am a number not a person.
I have had excellent care from Dr. Sharma through the last 16 years. He has treated me through a complicated, potentially fatal disease. I trust him explicitly. If he doesn't know the answer, he uses his extensive resources to find the answers. He is a very caring and compassionate doctor.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
