List of Maury Blitman Md's Reviews
Diagnosed Stage 4 colon cancer with 35 tumors in my liver in Nov 2019, I was referred to Dr Blitman. From the start he has not only directed me to the correct treatments, but has always had and open ear to any suggestions or changes in treatment I have presented to him. Never once has he made me feel like I wasn't involved in deciding what is best for my situation. 2.5 years later I am not only in a better place physically but mentally as well. I truly believe that if it wasn't for Dr Blitman I would not be here today. If you are thinking of changing Oncologists or looking to pick one, he is your man. Please feel free to email me if you want any further info. Dave.drc01@yahoo.com
Helpful, listens, with real human interaction and communication. Probably the most down to earth Dr. Common sense with a heart.
I have been seeing Dr. Blitman for over a year for Stage 4 Colorectal Cancer. He has seen me through surgeries, recoveries, chemotherapy, radiation, and all the side effects. He is extremely knowledgeable about my condition and always answers my questions. He may come off a bit standoffish during the first appointment, but he's quick to warm up. He gives it to you straight, even when the news is difficult. I have always felt he cared about me and how I'm doing. And, most importantly, I trust him.
So disappointed. I am doing IVF out of state and had blood work come back positive for blood clotting disorders. I just moved and do not have a primary care dr yet. My insurance does not require pre auth. My ivf dr recommended I see a hemotologist for my labs results. They refused me an appointment until I can see a primary (which is 8 months from now) even tho my insurance does not require it. I really hope they treat their patients better than this. I have had 7 miscarriages but I guess that and bad bloodwork is not enough to get care.
He simply doesn’t care about his patients. He is unprepared. He fails to schedule routine follow up tests and procedures. Not that it matters, he doesn’t look at test results anyway. He blames his staff for his failures. When not ignoring your concerns, he enjoys belittling your caregiver. Argumentative, smug, rude and dismissive with neither the talent nor intellect to justify his arrogance. Faced with the most important medical decision of you or your loved one’s life you would do well to look elsewhere.
NO bedside manor. Terribly arrogant. He was extreemly rude to me as well as my family during my last visit. Didn't seem to know much about ALK positive lung cancer treatment and the side effects of the medication. Had refer to the package insert continually. Seemed very bored every time I saw him. I am now going to Summit Cancer Care and they are WONDERFUL!! A breath of fresh air!!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
